Women, ladies, girls and females: A little guy question for

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:48 am

There are over 3 billion women in the world. Do you really think that your experiences with a few women is sufficient to generalize to all women?

If so, then I think the posts in this thread alone show that there is plenty of variation in how important men's hair is to women.

You should chill. :)

I'm not saying all.

I'm saying the majority.

Looks are the very first thing that starts up our attraction. To deny it is to justify a the passing of your desires.

Sure there are billions of woman in the world but he is talking about the majority, not all. Besides, it could be generalized since some will "leech" off each other (influence, for example).

Okay I promise I'll "chill" after this one....but the majority of women would still be over 1.5 billion women. My point is that just because a couple of women have made remarks that they prefer a guy with hair doesn't mean that the majority of women share the same preference. And women don't typically "leech" off each other in terms of what they're personally attracted to. Just because my friend says she's only attracted to men who are 7 feet tall doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to start sharing that same preference.

i'd say that hair is extremely important to most women, and tends to trump an aesthetically perfect face or body.

Proof: Would the Beatles or Justin Bieber have received anywhere near the amount of attention from female fans if they were clean shaven? There's also a herd mentality surrounding male hairstyles as well. I wonder how many girls opened their legs during the mid-late 2000s just because a guy had a generic emo fringe covering his face...

If you're bald or have bad hair, you really need to compensate by coming across as outgoing, well-dressed, and financially successful. That, or be famous.

No, probably not. But does this mean women like hideous comb-over mop-head bowl cuts?

Not really. I have a lot of female friends in their late teens / early 20s who will comment on how attractive a guy is even before they get a good look at his face just because he's dressed nicely and has the generic mid-length hairdo.

Whereas they wouldn't make the same comment about a bald guy until he's smiled, told a few jokes, and mentioned he's a doctor (for example).

Justin Bieber .... his early hair made me want to take a pair of sheep shears to his head. His current "hey I'm almost an advlt now, take me seriously plz" attempt at style is at least an improvement.

Personally, I'm attracted to shorter girls, (my girlfriend is almost an entire 7 inches shorter than me).

I have this thing where I want to protect people, the girl being short and cute realy adds to this.

I wonder if there are women that think like this, like smaller guys because they feel a need to protect them.

I'm a woman. I only get two choices?
The hell with that, one is forbidden, and the other looks like a bland surf shorts model.
Why would I date anyone based soley on one aspect of their personhood: physicality?
Are his hands clean? What does his voice sound like? Is his personality pleasant, concieted, shy, aggressive?
As for baldness, Vin Diesel, Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, and Avery Brooks pull it off extremely well.
Women find men attractive not because of the fact that hair is on the top of their head or not, but because of confidence. Calm, cool, laid back self confidence.

There is, btw, a distinction between women and girls.

Ah yes...the ole name some famous bald guys that are sixy comment.

Problem is: You see them in a movie. They are smart, suave, confident, dressed well, usually finacially set, etc. etc.

Lets keep in mind that most bald men aren't captain of the star ship Enterprise or drive a suped up Honda at drag races. Like that guy from the Transporter movies. In real life he's not the suave "stick with me woman and I'll save your life with kung-fu genious."

Most bald guys eat breakfast, go to a boring job, eat lunch, go to a boring job, have dinner, watch some TV blah blah blah. You know the routine b/c everyone knows the routine. They do the same things as men with hair.

Look at it this way. How many 25 year olds do you see in movies or TV that are bald playing key roles.

You can look however you want, but if you don't go for it it doesn't matter who you are. That's why such an average looking guy like me can get a date.

And for the average bald guy, it is harder to go about walking around knowing that women naturally prefer someone with hair. It's annoying because there is nothing you can do about it other than try the surgery to implant hair follicles, which is alot of money. And ironically, a bald guy having sucess with women is either by having confidence or money. When you are bald and know that, then confidence is something hard to acquire.

i've honestly never heard about this "girls prefer guys with hair"-thing before, i've discussed it with a lot of girls though and they've never said they prefer hair. they always say some [censored] like "it depends on the guy"

i'd really like to know where you're all getting this from

Don't you find this argument logically useless?

You are either A or not A. Right.

I have no feeling of oriental women, no matter how pretty they are. I don't know, and it doesn't matter if the girl is pretty or not, the high nose of Caucassions attracts me a lot, not crooked nose tho. However when it comes to long term relationship, honestly look should not dictate.

It wasn't an argument. I was just explaining the motive behind people's choices.

I have a broken nose. It's been with me for a few years. I couldn't fix it even if I wanted to. It doesn't affect my confidence around women: I'm going to look this way whether I want to or not, so I may as well not be self-conscious about it.

Discuss as much as you want you cannot prove anything without a worldwide poll including every woman on the planet.

Btw not all the women are in developed countries. I think by FAR most women are attracted to success and confidence. However the key word there is I think. Ahem...I mean that is fact! FACT!!

Exactly...it depends on the guy. But it takes more when you're bald. I'm guessing you're not very old b/c this has been around a while. It's a joke everywhere. It was on Sienfield.

It wasn't an argument. I was just explaining the motive behind people's choices.

You're right. A broken nose is just like not having hair. One can be seen as a battle scar and the other is a sign of old age. Lets test that intelligence: Which one do you think is completely feasable at the age of 22? A broken nose or being completely bald?

Unforetuneatly this proves my point.....at least in Russia. Girls that like men bald are in the minority.

On a side note: I saw a commercial for some yogurt the other day where a woman ate it and lost weight for a class reunion. She saw a guy that she liked in high school but he acted desperate....guess what he was bald.

I'm not going into the technicalities of it....I know theres going to be a response saying "Guys with hair can act like that!!!!"

Point is: the creators of the commercial chose to make him bald.......as if....I dunno...it symbolizes something.

Its there. Theres no denying it.

Both occur at age 22.

If you're going to neurotically focus on every stereotype and innuendo that exists, and go through your life measuring yourself against them, your life will be miserable, regardless of what you look like.

It sounds to me like you're looking for a reason to be down on yourself. Is there some truth to my impression?

Me? Before I answer, lets get the terms right. Bald doesn't mean you shave your head and you're "bald". That means you shave your head.

So, I'm bald. I look like Patrick Stewart without the grey hair. Low in the back, some on the sides and none what so ever on top.

And you're 22? It's a tough a one. I just think it's a downward spiral if you let it rule your life. Easier said than done for sure and I agree that a lot of girls are very shallow when it comes to hair.
