Trust me, I am actually doing a bit of research here concerning women and their general perception of what is "attractive or not." Is there a better place to do this? Yes, a gaming forum isn't exactly the primary location to do this. Have I done this in more appropiate places? Yes, I have. I got results, I want a few more answers before I come to a conclusion. I already feel ashamed, but the person I am dealing with knows I visit the BGS forums, so she insisted I ask everyone.

Not to mention I have a friend of mine with me that is debating whether or not my "theory" is correct. She insists it's not the case, and I insist that indeed the results would be what I expect. The bet? $7. Pretty cheap, but hey, who cares.

I know the majority of people here are guys, but I have no doubt some of you are women. So I ask the women, mostly. Guys can chime in if they like, although I doubt it would be more to their liking unless, you know.

Which guy is most attractive and why? Which guy would you choose to date and why? It has to be one or the other.

But I can't say I find the second man either datable or attractive. That's a horrible looking tattoo, his pecs are almost bigger than my own boobs, he's not smiling, and he's bald. From that photo and that photo alone, and if I had to decide whether or not I would date him purely from the way he is presenting himself there, I'd say no I wouldn't. He doesn't look fun, or happy, or relaxed.

So hopefully the other dude is slightly more promising, or else my vote would be neither.

The background for the second guy is also more flattering, or something. It just...I don't know, the first dude just looks awkward with that plain background. I have no idea.

Since you seem to be asking about bald head vs. full head of hair, it all depends on what type of hair that person has. Short hair looks boring 90% of the time on guys, whereas long hair and baldness always looks far more attractive.

So yeah, take that for what it's worth.

EDIT: Ah, I can see the first link now. And his hair looks awful. Second picture guy is way more attractive.

Well, thanks guys. It would appear I won $7. Yay, dream big right? My point of this was because I was suppose to go out this week with her lady friends. She tried to hook me up, but I decided to stay because recently I have been balding at the top of my head. So I decided to cut it real short so it can blend in as a normal low fade and etc with a tape. Now, the male pattern baldness is increasing and I decided to cut it a little bit more.

So I chickened out, I made up an excuse and did not go. So long story short, she asked me why, I explained I would have a hard time "being myself" when I know there's something bothering me. Hard to be confident when an oddly shaped head is more apparent when the hair is short. I told her how most women like guys with hair, and how bald guys are generally considered unnatractive and lowest of the male "Screw chain". She didn't believe me, so we made a bet. I won. SInce most comments here mentioned the baldness issue, it's obvious even a six pack won't help.

Now, some may rant and say that there is someone for everyone, but hey, I'm young. I don't need to wait for a special someone when I am at least trying to make up for the lost chances haha. But I'm not whining, I'll just have to learn to grab my stuff and be a man. Thanks though, I get to buy some food with this money at least .

Edit: Yes, the picture for the second guy was horrible for the sake of his pose and style. There was a better picture somewhere with him smiling(Girls like smiles, right).

Well first off, the two pictures you chose may not necessarily be the most realistic test of whether women are attracted to men with or without hair (or its relative importance). For example, the guy in the second pic is more muscular than the first, is in what appears to be a more professional photo, is of a different race, etc.

Second, I can understand your insecurity about your hair (we all have our insecurities, believe me), but I think it's probably a bigger deal to you than it is to any women you may potentially meet. There are LOTS of guys that are attractive that have bald/shaved heads or thinning hair.

Velorien, you might be wrong on the "no". I take it you don't like smiles? And I suppose spending hours on research on the subject, it would appear that it seems to be the case, as movies, television shows and books have always had the full head of hair rather than a bald one. Hair itself is a sign of vitality, youth and all of those other things. The majority of women are attracted to guys with a full head of hair.

Well that depends on the girl, and what kind of attraction you're talking about. In my post, I said I was more physically attracted to the second guy but psychologically to the first guy, because the second guy (being more muscle-y) seems like he may spend a ton of time on his looks, which doesn't matter so much for a fling or casual relationship, but would be a turn-off for me if considering a serious, long-term kind of thing. So I think the muscle issue is like the hair issue...different women find different things attractive in a guy, but having hair & huge muscles doesn't necessarily make you more attractive.

I was mostly kidding with the "no," since chicks typically like guys that are mean. That's just how things roll. Nice, smiling guys get overlooked. But again, mostly kidding. And I'm the last to want to promote the idea of all women liking one thing.

And yeah, I'm sure a full head of hair is more popular among the ladies than a bald guy, but it's not like women hate bald dudes or anything. It's all about what look works for you. Different people look better with different hairstyles, and sometimes the best option is no hair at all.
