I know you won your bet already, but here's my 2 cents:
I personally like bald men....even at 1st glance. imo some guys look
better bald than with hair. Patrick Stewart as Picard. That Lex Luther actor from Smallville (mmm....). Yul Brynner. Billy Zane (I like him both bald and w/hair). Many others. I prefer Bruce Willis bald or almost-bald over when he had more hair in 80's. It
does depend a bit on the shape of the skull (and the ears and browline). This is true for bald women as well. Our brains seem to prefer (at 1st glance anyway) symmetry, so the closer a face/skull is to that, the better that 1st glance response may be.
But that's just me ... I think I would agree that the 1st attraction for the average woman would statistically lean more towards men with hair.
I do love men with hair too, of course. But there are a zillion
haircuts that I can't stand that would turn me off at 1st glance far more than having a bald/ing head would do. So, in short, I don't
prefer hair and I don't
prefer bald. Either can be awesome - it just depends.
in regards to the 2 photos:chances are good I wouldn't date either one since 1:I don't like tattoos and 2:while I like a man to be in good cardio/overall shape, I'm not at all into the body-building/sculpting types. Of course, if personality trumped 1st-glance reaction, as it so often does in real life, I might change my mind.

I understand. And the bald head was more of an issue question rather than tattoos. So I figured the hairless head would stick out more. And I do agree that statistically women are inclined to find male with hair more attractive. It's hardwired into their brains. But you have good taste, so I respect you

Hmm... Before beginning my weight-loss pursuit, I neglected the fact that this was possible... Interesting...
P90X is a great weight loss pursuit that can tone you up and make you lean depending on which path you choose. But all advertisemants aside, I have been told women like a softer guy with some meat on him. Not overly obese, but not too buff and muscular. An average guy if you will. Don't get me wrong, I am of average weight, but my pecks are too large and it stands out. I need to workout my arms and shoulders more so it can be proportionate. I'm not doing it completely out of vanity, but only because I just want to look a little normal. Not a guy with muscular chest and small arms and shoulders with a big bald head. It looks weird.
Although I am guilty to stare in the mirror and make my "man boobs" bounce when I am chest flexing haha. Ever since I was younger I always wanted to do that.
In regards to women and workout, I guess there is a good amount of guys that works out to attract the opposite six. I myself always worked out solely to get women. But nowadays I just do it to be more athletic and healthy since I can balance out being a computer geek and a gym rat. They can coexist you know. Women are more byproducts when it comes to working out. One of the good things that comes along with having a great body. I think a healthy dose of confidence is important. Not arrogance, since people hate that(Me included).
I can't see the first bloke. As a purveyor of male aesthetic, I think the 2nd guy is decent looking. He seems to suit having no hair and he's in good shape. He has a rubbish tattoo though.
EDIT: I'm surprised to hear that some girls don't like good bodies.

I'm in the gym every day now, just because I have the time. I can appreciate why a lot of girls wouldn't like the whole body builder, huge physique, but surely a nice six pack is always appreciated?
Or is it more because you see those kinds of guys trying too hard, spending too long gazing at themselves in the mirror and just being generally vain and boring? Because their whole lives revolve around their work out routine?
Just curious.
Well, media has ingrained in society what is hot and what is not. Back in the old times, you always saw painting of large women because that was one of the attractive types of ladies. In present day, it's mostly about abs and hair and etc. Some guys know that and workout. While others do it for the sake of sports and other activities. My life now revolves around losing some weight and gaining muscle. My goal is to be regulatly fit with abs and just good muscle. Not bulky. I might check myself out in the mirror and weep because I am in the best shape of my life and I finally can run naked in the beach

. But that would quickly die since I am naturally not a person that dwells too much on vanity.
And just for the record, keep working out. For me the hard part is finding motivation. I always worked out to get women, now I workout for myself and to be more confident, yet I find the motivation lacking which leads me to stop working out a day or two in the week. Which is not that bad, unless you eat cookies and donuts.
