Worst Game Ever

I played Bubsy II the other day. Loved that game as a kid, now it's one of the biggest WTF's I've ever seen.

Tetris. I had it on my original gameboy (not colored) and hated it as a kid. I still hate it to this day.

Spiderman and the X-men for NES16 bit.
It was an uninspired platform with extremely clunky controls and movement that made you spend a very long time on every level, not because it was hard or because you didnt know how, but because it was a pain to figure out the timing for the controls.

Max Payne is also a shade of terrible.
It was a shooter for xbox that wasnt too bad really, bit of a cliche story the gameplay rather cliche as well but at the final boss fight you had to shoot some iron wiring down that held a communication tower up.
The way you were supposed to do that was with the sniper rifle, only the scope on that thing didnt so much magnify as make you see the same as normal, only through a circle.
Never finished it and I finished Mega Man 1.

Some of you guys must have never played a game before the Xbox with some of the games listed here. And hell, if Dragon Age 2 was the worst game I've ever played, then my gaming experience would be exclusively amazing.

Half of the games listed here are golden shining gems of brilliance compared to the garbage that was released back in the SNES, NES, and earlier days.

Action 52 is the worst game ever made. Fifty-two games on a single cartridge and none of them allowed you to have fun.

At least I can safely say that my pick(previously mentioned as Final Fantasy Mystic Quest) really doesn't have any redeeming qualities, and is quite old :) I will agree though, quite a few games listed on here are actually very good games(for the most part, I'll happily ride on the DA2 hate wagon), and I feel confident in saying that they likely got mentioned more because of how over-hyped they were and more of a disappointment then actual bad quality.

The worst games are not the badly made unplayable ones but the games that you play for hours and then realize that at no point did you have any fun.

For me world of Warcraft was sometimes the best game ever and other times more like work.

It's supposed to be. It basically exsists as an interactive screensaver.

No..That would be Oblivion unmodded..And that's my line!
OT: I can honestly say that the worst game I ever bought was Spiderman 2 for the PC, talk about horrid console port!

Scratch that, King Aurthur, now that was a horrible game, I didn't even finish the first level before I was bored to tears!

Some of us guys opted to clarify why we chose certain games as "personal worsts", rather than go with standard games normally listed as worst ever but which most people have never played. As several of us have noted, "worst" is pretty subjective. I chose DA2 for me personally because to me, it was a very very disappointing game and un-finishable for a number of reasons.

Fortunately for me, some of my friends have a collection of terrible and offensive games. One I haven't played yet is Custer's Revenge, although the few clips I've seen on YouTube were bad enough.

I could list the games I had for the Sega Mega Drive, but that wouldn't be far because I was an impatient child and the joystick I have at the time (still do) has a faulty button, which for most games was either the attack button or the jump button. Because of this I could never finish a race in Road Rash, or get more than 5m into the first level of Batman Forever

I beat that svcker as a kid. The endgame slot wheel seemed a bit out of place.

I can't believe this was my first Bethesda game...

Mainly because I couldn't get it to start (it would just stay at the intro screen), but Burger Time for NES. It was the only game in my collection that wouldn't play and it made me so mad.

My biggest disappointment is without doubt Final Fantasy XIII. Seeing a series I had grown up with and loved turn into... that was beyond heartbreaking.

As for the worst, I can't look beyond E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari 2600.

I just HATED that game. Broken controls, boring world, terrible graphics, awful sound, (i'm running out of negative descriptors here) deplorable game.

GTA4. Some of the most exasperating game mechanics and crappy controls I've ever experienced. Not even going into the fact your protagonist does ANYTHING that is asked of him, and is a schizophrenic moron. When Todd Howard says he likes RockStar games, it seriously makes me cringe.

What is this 4th gothic game you speak of, never heard of it.

I honestly don't know what's the worst game I've ever played, maybe Fable.
It is called Arcania and it is semi lame. I have played it and it something to do when your bored and between good games, that is pretty much it.

My worst game has to be Dragon Age 2 was the worst sequel in history. Bioware tried to cash in early on DA:O and literally threw together DA2 in roughly a year. Turned into the worst exploding blood splatter hack and slash with almost no RPG elements, cheap storyline, and the most sickening repeative cookie cutter areas I have seen in a long time.

That was probably because atleast when I played it there was still a level 50 cap then. My guild leader told me it took her literally almost 2 months or longer to get from 49 to 50 then. The grind and XP for the higher levels was insane. I heard it is much easier now but I still dont care. I kind of liked it. It was just the snotty people playing that svcked....lol

Worst game:
-All games developed/published by Nexon America. Dont ask me why, i hate that company
-Dragon age 2, seriously why ruin DA O? And i cant imagine how bad DA3 is gonna be
-Mass effect 3. Well, the game is very fun, i give a 90/100 rating UNTIL the ending. The ending screws up the whole game, and just like movies, endings play a very BIG role. Not to mention EA is selling the 'good ending' for i dont know, ripoff prices for just an ending. WTF man.
-Never heard of gothic 4, but after reading reviews, man that sounds bad

in a nutshell, the worst games are the games that the game company rushed, did not care for the customers, give insane cash shop prices(MMOs), only cares for money, not bothering to fix those bugs and have no meaning in them.
