Worst Game Ever

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 5:41 pm

I don't understand how people could say games like Fallout 3 or Dragon Age are the worst games they've ever played. Sure, you might not like them, but you've really never played a worse game?

If Fallout 3 or Dragon Age are the worst games, what are the best?

Why did I play it? How could I not after the [censored] storm that surrounded its release.

Edit: Oh and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura was really just...bad. I was so dissappointed when I finally got to play it. :sadvaultboy:
I find it endearing, it's like those fan-fics I wrote as a id where Conan meets Xena and go hunting for Darth Vader in the Enterprise.

I rather enjoyed Ethnic Cleansing... to each their own, I reckon.
I couldn't stop laughing when I played it. In that "WHAT THE ACTUAL @#$%" kind of way

I haven't traded this game in because I'm ashamed to admit I own it, so my answer would have to be that game. Why do I hate it, it's well documented how bad the game is and the entire plot ripped off a different franchise, video games can't get a score below 6 from video game reviews without those journalists being threatened to get black listed from ever getting info on future games made by the people with the bad review, this game got a 5.5 score. Front Mission: Evolved

An old game but still kinda bad---Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. The game is just a little to hard and unforgiving but I like the music in it.

In terms of games I personally played....it's rare I that I truly "hate" a game or anything. I'll just find it boring/stop playing. Or I couldn't get it to run reliably. But sometimes even those I get some hours of enjoyment from, for some odd reason.

Anyway, my personal pick would be Ultima9. I did get some hours of gameplay from it, but it killed the franchise. After that....hm. Probably https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoo_tycoon. I was expecting a game with a similar gamestyle appeal as Roller Coaster Tycoon, but not even close. Too simple/dull. The meerkats were cute tho. ;)

"Worst game" or "most disappointing game?" I've played a lot of sequels that were disappointing compared to my expectations that technically weren't "bad games." I couldn't even begin to choose a "worst game"...I've been gaming for 28 years, so I've played a LOT of bad games. I mean really terrible. If your first thought was Dragon Age 2...well...you don't know how bad "bad" can be.

I thought OoT was at least in the top 10 of worst games ever made. I cannot fathom people who like it... let alone worship it.

Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heros looks and has been pretty darn lame for me, so far

Really, they could have used that money better (ex. WAR), although its sleazy marketing model seems like it will make them some money

For me it's a tossup between fable 2 and minecraft. I'm not saying minecraft is bad, I just didn't like it and couldn't keep playing for more than a week at a time without getting bored. As for fable 2...let's just say that that was the last time that I bought a game without having any information about the game beforehand.

If there was an award for Greatest video game disappointment, Mass Effect 3 would be my pick.

Oblivion :ermm: Honestly, I am aware it's not exactly the worst game ever made, but for me, considering the huge marketing hype and my own expectations after Morrowind, for me it was a HUGE let down, so I can safely say it's the game that caused me the biggest pain in my gaming history.

Yup i am with you.

Worst game I've ever played? Not sure. Either one of the third-party Sega Genesis games my parents rented at Blockbuster, or one of the PC demo games from one of the several shareware and freeware demo collection CD's we've had. Although to be fair those collections also had some very enjoyable games and demos of genuinely good games.

Most hated game? King's Quest. Definitely not a bad game, but I don't enjoy how everything could kill you. Especially that stupid "deadly water" that was everywhere.

Biggest disappointment I've played? Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

Biggest disappointment I've not played but I've done enough research to know it'll break my heart? Tie between Gothic 4 and Dungeon Siege III.

Well for me Dragon Age 2,there are worse games around ,but to get a sloppy cheap product like this from Bioware when Origins was so good made it all the worse.Halo should get a notable mention also.

Tie between Fable 3 and Gothic 3 (Forsaken Gods). I guess I'm lucky I haven't played Dragon Age 2, the user reviews scared me away.

I am being increasingly mystified by the mention of those, Oblivion, the Fables etc; they're all really pretty good games (yes, even DA2) whether or not they're to our personal tastes. Although I mentioned Skyrim as my most disappointing game of late, I don't think I would be taken seriously if I tried to claim it was genuinely bad.

There seems to be quite a lot of "I don't like it much" and the perennial "Oblivion lol" in place of things that are genuinely awful.
