Worst Game Ever

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 8:36 am

Tie between Fable 3 and Gothic 3 (Forsaken Gods). I guess I'm lucky I haven't played Dragon Age 2, the user reviews scared me away.
Whats worse is Bioware had the nerve to say it was "innovation"at this also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV97ozaD4vs

The worst game I've ever played was the Fifth Element tie-in game. I played it ages ago on my father's computer. The main thing I remember about it is that it had tons of platform jumping, but the camera made it so it was impossible to see where you were going to land. If I recall correctly, it also had a terrible save system, so that every time you'd fall into the void because of the awful camera, you would have to replay large sections of the game.

To this day, I hate platforming games because of the experience of playing this wretched puddle of sputum. Anyone who had any involvement with its production should be banned from using a computer for life.

Probably Sea World Tycoon. I bought it in the bargain bin at a post office. I honestly don't know why I bough it...

Most dissapointing would definitely be LA Noire. I was so hyped for that game that I bought it on release day. I sold it immediately after I finished the story.

The Jurrasic, Zoo and Rollercoaster ones are the best.

Definately, series hasn't been good IMO since San Andreas/Vice City.

I forgot about San Andreas. That was even worse. I had the most fun playing the very first one. After that, the third. Then I just grew out of it I guess.

I don't understand how people could say games like Fallout 3 or Dragon Age are the worst games they've ever played. Sure, you might not like them, but you've really never played a worse game?

Yeah I'm with you on this. I can understand calling them disappointing but WORST? I can only assume people only play [censored] hot games all the time.

Freaking loved Dragon Age 2... :twirl:

I didn't really play Vice City, but I pretty much count that as a GTA3 expansion, so nothing against it.

Some of you guys must have never played a game before the Xbox with some of the games listed here. And hell, if Dragon Age 2 was the worst game I've ever played, then my gaming experience would be exclusively amazing.

Half of the games listed here are golden shining gems of brilliance compared to the garbage that was released back in the SNES, NES, and earlier days.

Action 52 is the worst game ever made. Fifty-two games on a single cartridge and none of them allowed you to have fun.

Never played it.

I'm willing to bet the reason so many people are listing universally loved games is probably due more to disappointment rather than much being wrong with the games on a design level (I even said Oblivion disappointed me, not that I think it's a terrible game). That and people like me are extremely careful about the games we buy, so coming across a game that's genuinely bad is a rare occurrence indeed.

Another point, I didn't grow up so early in gaming that I had virtually no access to reviews and a plethora of information regarding each game I would potentially own. I'm aware that in the old days, buying a game was somewhat of a gamble. Well, it isn't much of a gamble anymore, and it wasn't much of one when I started gaming. This is why when somebody asks me what the "worst" game I've ever played was, it's likely going to be one of the games I heavily researched and was 100% certain I would enjoy (but ended up not).

That's a good point, and a good explanation for why so many people seem ungrateful and obnoxious to me when they complain about newer games that are excellent. They haven't played truly awful games before, and thus have no real point of reference, in addition to building hype up for a very long period of time, only to be disappointed.

Lord of the Rings: Conquest sticks out in recent memory as being one of the worst i've played.

I'm sure i played much worse games as a child, but standards were lower then...

Force Unleashed 2. It would have been great if it had been longer.

Monster Hunter Tri. I'm not sure why but I can't stand this game.

Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale. Just plain awful.

It all depends how you define "worst."
I didn't like a lot of the early NES type games because they were too hand-eye/controller-dependent difficult for me. Not the sort who finds dying 100000 times trying to make a single jump (or whatever) entertaining. But to others that makes them great, maybe.

Worst can be "most disappointing", "most bug-ridden," "most unfairly difficult," "worst story conclusion", and on and on. I do agree/think most pick disappointing (which is a fairly generic term of itself).

If we're counting indie games, I won't even mention it. Game made me furious.

No it made me furious due to its subject material. I played less than a minute of it. I consider it to be the worst game ever.
