These are all post 1.4:

- "Conjuration Ritual Spell" - Dremora doesn't de-spawn at the end of it, nor can it be killed (attacks just go through it as if it isn't there).

- "The Cursed Tribe" - When returning to Largashbur with the ingredients, Gularzob was lying dead on the ground inside the fence (tried re-doing/reloading it several times, all with the same result). While a giant was attacking the tribe at the time, the giant was outside the fence. Particularly odd since Gularzob is named the tribe's leader at the end of the quest.

- "Worn Shrouded" clothing (cowl, boots, gloves) in Master Bedroom of Dawnstar Sanctuary adds weight to inventory when picked up, but does not appear in the inventory list.

- The sword the Jarl of Riften gives you upon becoming a Thane is just a generic magic blade, not the one it's supposed to be (haven't tried with Maven as Jarl, though I've read that is a workaround... sort of)

- Cannot sacrifice Cicero or Dark Brotherhood initiates for Boethiah's quest (I forget the name of it) upon completion of the Dark Brotherhood questline; they just stand there when you tell them to touch the pillar.

And finally, one that's already on the list, but I'll repeat it anyway since it's annoying: Esbern's potion doesn't work, and the quest stays in your journal.

EDIT: Oh, and there's significantly more random lag than there was prior to 1.4. Before that, I had almost no problems with it. Now it's more common (still not unplayable, but it's definitely happening more).

Post 1.4 for me as well:

Quests (Misc.)

-I also have the "Return to Skald" quest bug, even though I completed his bounty.

-"Find the Word of Power in Ragnvald" - Word of Power Wall (Kyne's Peace) is bugged. It makes noise and the music plays, but when I approach the wall, it does not darken nor does the word glow. I know others have had this problem. Please note I have both the first two words of Kyne's Peace from Shroud Hearth Barrow and Rannveig's Feast. However the Rannveig's Feast word (perhaps the second) is also bugged and doesn't show up in my Shouts menu.

-"Purchase House in Markarth" - I'm sure it has been noted because this is a "common" one. But I have it as well, after rejecting the conversation to not purchase a house from the Jarl's steward (because a lack of gold). The option has not reappeared even when I do have funds.

Items

-Locked "Amulet of Talos" as a quest item - I have FOUR Amulets of Talos locked as a quest item. I believe I got bugged from Roggvir's sister's quest and cannot access it.

-Unusual Gems, or now the Stone of Barenziah as I have identified them, do not stack.

Word of Power Wall

-Kyne's Peace - Rannveig's Feast - Absorbed the word but doesn't show in the Shout's Menu??? Word Wall still plays "static" but does not glow or anything, no music either. Appears permanent.

NPCs

-I have two random Alk'r (sp?) Hammerfall men standing by the front gate inside Whiterun. They just keep standing there all day and night.

What? Oh, man. Does this happen to everyone or is it just random? I was saving the Boethiah quest for Cicero.

Word wall near statue to Meridia will not give word -- I can hear the chanting but the word does not light up.

Leading up to glitch:

I had just started the quest to return the beacon. I was attacked by a dragon before I could leave the area. After a couple of shots from the Nightingale bow, the dragon still showed full health. Seconds later it fell from the sky dead in front of the word wall.

The DB initiates cannot be sacrificed. I wouldn't say this is a bug since it's always been this way. As for Cicero, yeah, that's probably a bug since you've finished the DB quest.

The placing of the NPCs after 1.4 has become quite strange besides standing in the ground up to their head sometimes I now have had several occasions when NPC were standing almost or sometimes even totally in a wall. Sometimes they stayed were they are often they came out and attacked me from behind. I think there's a slight difference between hidden or overseen and clipping error.

Those aren't the only items that seem to suffer stacking problems since 1.4 for me -- don't know if it's just coincidental to the timing of the patch or not, but it has noticably gotten worse. Soul gems, particularly filled ones, have a monumentally serious problem stacking properly. Since normal containers are unreliable with filled soul gems, I use my followers inventory to store them, and it's always been a bit hit or miss as far as proper stacking, but now (with rare exceptions) only the filled greater and grand gems stack at all. That is, every filled common, lesser, and petty is listed as a singular item in their inventory -- no stacking whatsoever.

Since the posting on the first page of this thread, I have started a new character with the current 1.4 patch and the game is even buggier (if that is a word). Besides all the glitches and bugs previously described there, Lydia refuses to carry any item I give her when she is a follower... I can drop items and have her pick them up, but now that counts as a stolen item. I traveled to Solidtude and none of the shops had doors on them. I fell through the ground as I approached one building and traveled all over the map underground. Although, there was an advantage to that, because I could loot all kinds of chests and items from all over Skyrim. I just can't play the game. I tried to return the Amulet of Talos to Greda (Solitude side mission). She said thank you and she would return to the temple. She gave me nothing and my Amulets doubled......
I have read other posts where those who are not having problems are ridiculing those of us that are, without any moderator interaction. However, Bethesda's moderators, has stopped many of the posts from those of us who are having problems. The hours I spent as well as the money, attempting to play this game, was a waste. I should have played a game of golf and got the same frustration for less money and time.

It looks like the person who began the thread hasn't been online since Jan 28. Maybe someone who's on frequently should start a new thread, seeing as the person who started this one seems to have abandoned it.

On another note, with regards to the bug occuring during the Regain Eastmarch portion of "Reunification of Skyrim," I was able to work around it by casting frenzy on one of the imperial soldiers in the camp (I tried the fix that worked for the regain the Reach section that worked for me - fast traveling and talking to General Tullius - but it didn't work). After the soldier had been killed and Legate Rikke sheathed her sword, the "reporting for duty" option in the dialogue was available.

Also, here's another couple bugs I've come across: upon completion of No Stone Unturned, "Prowler's Profit" does not appear in the active effects list. In addition, it seems no matter who is Jarl of Riften, upon becoming Thane you will not receive the correct item from them (you'll just get a generic magic weapon).

Skjor - Found him sliding around the land, with his legs under the ground. He was located between Bonestewn Crest, and Mistwatch. He was with a couple other NPC's scouting the land for prey.

The 2 glitches I've had lately, post 1.4, are on Blindsighted - Karliah & Brynjoff left Irknthand and I had to fight my way through myself (never found Karliah, but Brynjoff was back at the Raggod Flagon Cistern saying dialogue from Irknthand). When I went into Bronze Water Cave they also didn't follow. I went into Skyrim and then back into the cave and they now entered the cave.

Also, on Bound By Death, I keep killing Victoria Vici during her speech and Astrid won't give me my bonus.

I have went to several areas over the course of two hundred hours and in dungeons and in front of dungeons enemies never respawn. I have waited thirty days, and I have also waited over sixty days in several holds and nothing has helped. This is an issue that has plagued my game since either patch 1.2 or 1.3. Before that I could go back into ruins and go to the ruins above ground and nobody ever respawned. This is an issue that has persisted with my character with I have had since patch 1.1 and my new character I made in 1.4. Again this issue began with 1.2 or 1.3..

Then I have an ingredient bug that causes my plants to never respawn. Its been well a year in game time for my ingredients. I have had this issue as long as my enemy resapawn bug with 1.2 or either 1.3. I go back to an area some plants have respawned but others have not, there is also clusters of plants that are not growing back. In the cities no plant has respawned, again this has been well over a year in game time.

This has been an issue for me for a while I have tested it over a hundred hours with two characters and my two games are getting progressively worse, more and more things are not coming back and its getting very irritating and I have waited thirty to sixty days in different holds.

I am a big fan of the anciend nord armor, unfortunatly there is a problem when you are running, even sometimes walking actually, with your left foot. I think its more a texture problem. I really hope it gets fixed, its pretty anoying seeing my leg <> the armor over and over again

Alteration, Atronach: Having this perk and/or the Atronach Stone can "absorb" the summon forcing you to continuously cast until it works


Not only that in 3rd person view when it doesn't work when trying to summon something it makes you invisible for a short period of time. Also, it gives you back a lot of magicka and now I have no need for magic potions because I can just keep summoning my flame atronach.

  • Battle music is permanently on, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. When I did used to play I had to turn the music all the way down but it would be good to have music when music is necessary.
  • I can't get into Solitude which means there are a few quests I cannot complete as they require me to enter Solitude. The reason for this is because I completed all the Stormcloak quests as I chose to side with them, but now they are standing outside Solitude saying they will kill the Legion when they arrive but they never do.
    When I press A at the door to get into Solitude it says I have to help them first but of course I can't.I did find that I could get myself arrested and pay a bounty to get into Solitude but when I got into there the place was deserted and all the people were in one small room, was pretty weird.

idk if its been posted but i just got a bug while i was replaying another character and i was going through bleak falls barrow and the door that is a puzzle that requires the claw, yeah it wont let me change the top, middle, or bottom symbols. they all just wont move. =/

Handful of things from my game, started under the 1.4 patch:

Upon dismounting a horse, it often then moves backwards at extreme speed, frequently hitting obstacles and bouncing into the air, dying on landing impact.

I'm having trouble with doors. Sometimes they seem to need to be activated twice. You know how when you open a door you see a short animation where it pulls back on its hinges? Well, I've had the double doors to The Hall of the Elements get stuck in that position and become unusable. Leaving the area and waiting seemed to fix the problem.

The Tolfdir the Absent-Minded and Drowned Sorrow quests didn't show in the journal, nor did they generate waypoints on the map.

With the Forbidden Legend quest, I triggered it in Reachwater Rock, and went then to Folgunthur, Geirmund's Hall and Saarthal in that order. With all three pieces of the amulet in my possession, the quest did not give me a next objective. Despite this, it was possible to complete it by returning to Reachwater Rock as per usual.

I have problems with my hands not connecting to my arms, I can see the handle of the sword right in the middle where it splits between my character hands and arms.

In "The Break of Dawn", I had found Meridia's Beacon prior to the 1.4 patch, and after the patch the item is gone from my inventory making it impossible to finish the quest and get the achievement.
