If I was poor and had no warranty, I would kill myself with a brick.
But as I am now, I'd buy a new xbox. But I'd still be pissed.

I've got the new model. No worries here.

The "New" Xbox is still a cheaply made computer. It CAN and WILL fail eventually it may be next week, next month, next year, or even in 10 years. The New XBox's do have a much better lifespan but it CAN fail at any time.

Snacks are ready, bed/chair is optimised for extreme comfort, girlfriend/wife is locked away/killed, children are put to bed/killed and you don't need to empty your bladder or bowels.
You open the case, get the disc and put it into the Xbox 360. And then, suddenly and shamelessly stereoptyically; RED RING OF DEATH!

How do you react? (No poll due to me wanting your reasons, not pre-set ones)

I'd cry, and be extremely pissed off for the rest of the day.
But I only just bought my new Xbox two months ago and I still have my one year warranty, So I can get a replacement ^_^

1 year warranty is a joke aswell! i think in the netherlands upped it to 2 or 3 years because of an goverment rule!

I forgot even though I know there is no point I would do Microsoft trouble shooting step one and restart the console to see if that clears it up.

I'd go trade the game in on the PS3 version. Then if my PS3 got a YLOD, I'd go trade that in on the PC Version. Honestly, I never understood the whole console wars thing. If they have good exclusives, I'll buy the console. I just want to play games. Every version of the game will have advantages as well as drawbacks.

Borrow my friend's Xbox. He's not using it since he got himself a PS3, so it would be fine. And I doubt that would RRoD, because it's fairly new.

that happened to me after i bought lost odyssey, went to walmart bought a new xbox sent the broken one back to microsoft, 2 weeks later it comes back fixed and the one i bought from walmart gets the red ring, so i plug in the repaired one and ship this one back another 2 weeks go by and this one comes back. so now i have 2 xboxes just waiting for the red ring.

I mostly buy games for Pc and keep xbox for console exclusives, ye. But Oblivion and Fallout felt like they meant to be played on consoles so i decided to give it a try.

I'd go out and get a new Xbox - you can get them really cheap.
