This happened to me with Fallout 3. I got home, popped it in and played until I got to megaton. I went to talk to Moira, and my xbox froze. Okay..I turn the xbox off then on again and BOOM.........RROD. I went out and bought a new Xbox the next night. F3 cost me over $300 when all was said and done. :sadvaultboy:

I will gladly do it agian if it happens, but it won't considering I have installed every game to HDD since.

That would svck but I would have to go to a 24 hour Wal Mart and buy a new one.

Sure I would be out money but I am not going to wait a long time to play the game especially because my X-Box 360 already had that issue and don't they only fix it once for free?

I would 1) Find out how much it would cost to upgrade my PC to run Skyrim
2) If 1 is less than $500, upgrade PC, return Skyrim for PC copy
3) If 1 is more than $500, grudgingly go buy another Xbox and pray it lasts through the night
4) If wife says "No you can't buy a new Xbox, were BROKE!" I promptly resort to a life of crime and steal one from my neighbors

Why do people leave off playing their xbox, thinking that it will stop RROD, or another problem?

Hey....it wont, lol, if you leave off it for two weeks, and it was ''meant'' to break during that 2 weeks, guess what,....it will just break the next time you put it on.

As for the OP....I dunno unlucky i guess.

I would take out the disk, look at it. Then realize the red lights were flashing because I accidentally put my PS3 copy in my 360.

Got the new Xbox 360 slim this month last year and in less of a year doesn't play any game discs anymore. I'm gonna return it real quick before the warranty ends and get a new one so I can play Skyrim! and Arkham City!

There are two kinds of X-box 360 owners. Those who have had RROD and those that will have RROD.

I was a 360 owner for 3 years, and the worst I got was an E74 error message. I switched over to PC two years later and haven't looked back.

Techically impossible since I have one of new xbox slims. They took out the red LEDs so it is impossible.
