If You've Been Holding Out, Will You Marry for Hearthfire? I

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:08 pm

I haven't yet married anybody with my Khajiit cannibal paladin, as I was hoping to find another Khajiit for her to marry. Obviously, that would require an update of some sort. Well, with Hearthfire coming out soon, I'm thinking about just biting the bullet and having my character get married. One of the features is building a home, and at this point, I'm not sure if they'll ever add in new marriage options. I figure I'll probably marry Ysolda, since she likes the Khajiit and is sort of a drug dealer, but I could marry Shahvee instead. Most of the male characters that I like aren't able to be married, like Madesi. Dude's living in the sewers with the beggars. I thought about marrying Romlyn Dreth just for the fun of it, but I told his boss during his quest, as it was the right thing to do, and lost the means to do that.

I'll marry either Jennssa, Ria, or Mjoll. I'm hoping that the redguard steward with the housecarl options is marriable. But I guess we will see.

It remains to be seen if Hearthfire adds any more marriable folks. I'd like someone with a personality and things to say.

At this point, I'd settle for a generic Khajiit with no discernible personality, or things to say. They could be mute for all I care. I just want the option to be there.

Yeah, I'm not married yet. As mentioned above I am waiting to see if future DLC adds more personality to new people or to the people you can already marry. On that note, I have been kind of leaning towards Sylgja.

Yeah, it's going onto nearly a year since launch, at this point, that's all I could expect...

This is so true.

I've always felt that Jenassa, Erik and Mjoll keep what personality they had when you travel with them. They still comment on where your at, make note that a boss is close by and Mjoll still tells you stories about her past as you wander with her. Aela did seem to have been switched with someone else though.

Married to Sylgja and I'm glad I did. With the knowledge that almost any follower can be made into a personal steward, this will hopefully mean I can hire my mother-in-law, Annekke Crag-Jumper, as our personal steward.

I haven't married yet. I thought about Aela, Lydia and Ingjard, but frankly, I don't really like any of them that much. Lydia was my first character's wife/follower, so I already spent a lot of time with her. I really like Aela but I don't like her voice. Ingjard is okay, but I dislike 2H weapon users. I am pretty picky :\

I have three characters. My RPing rules about marriage is that it has to be to:
* A person of the opposite gender.
* Someone of interfertile species (for orc, Khajiit, and Argonians, that means their own race).
* Someone my character has spent considerable time with, regardless of pretext.

My Dunmer is married already. After many weeks of taking lessons and smithing at his side, sparks of a non-forge related type flew between her and Balimund of Riften.

My Khajiit can't get married until there are available female Khajiit in the game, or until I choose to relax the rule.

And my Imperial would like to marry, but I'm not sure if there's a female character he's spent extensive time with. Maybe he'll work on that while I'm impatiently waiting for Hearthfire...

It has to be Serana. One else. But I'm content with my Hearthfire home becoming the best bachelor pad Tamriel has ever seen. :P

Yeah. Lots of trophies and weapons racks. And at least 500 bottles of mead (all types) strewn about the place.

SMELL THE TESTOSTERONE!!
