Most of the woman you can marry are ugly man. For some reason you cant marry the hottest woman you do quests for. Sure there's a few exceptions but you cant marry the best looking ones, like Ingun Black Briar for example. If you're an assassin or a thief and you married the Black Briar girl, how cool would that be? She's supposed to be your girl! There's a lot of other woman. Cant remember off the top of my head, but Im sure most people here know what Im talkin about. And yeah, these chicks are based on real woman.

Interesting point... but then consider that there haven't been ANY children up until this game. And unless I'm much mistaken, the Skyrim children are just re-used copies of Fallout 3 / New Vegas children... slightly reskinned.

They could at least have black kids....

I think the women in the game are hot enough, better looking then in alot of games....and this is a TES game.

One statement for you: Most of the NPCs in Skyrim have the depth of a frying pan.

PS I didn't think the observation about different skin pigments in children offensive, or racist. Unless racist now means stating facts.

At least we dont have to deal with some o fthe ugly faces from Morrowind, or the puffy faces from Oblivion.
I will agree that Ingun is one of the better looking women in the game. And if marriage actually had any depth in the game, marrying into one of the richest, most influential families in Skyrim could have its advantages.

Like I said... a programming oversight.
There aren't that many children in the game at all, and they happen to all be about the same age, and white. And while you'd expect most of them to be so, because most of the advlts in the games are Nords... there is at least one anomaly (in Markarth) where a white child has black parents.
Of course given that is the only one.... it just strikes me as funny.
Maybe it'd be cool to have children of other races (and maybe other ages) running about.... but there wouldn't be many of them anyway...

And as an afternote... I hate people who throw around claims of racism almost as much as I hate people who throw claims of paedophilia around.... so please PLEASE drop it.

Honestly? Who gives a rip. Marriage isn't anything special in the game. You don't really get anything extra from it other than a free daily meal, a bit of cash (inconsequential amount) from your "store", and an additional couple of spoken lines.

It's terribly shallow. Just like nearly all the characters.
