Your current most hated artistband

Post » Tue Jan 01, 2013 10:32 am

Beautiful lyrics about love/friendship/all the sweet stuff aren't enough to make up for a monotonous beat, or boring instrumental.

I can see that about a lot of their earlier work, but their musicianship greatly improved (IMO) as they moved away from their boy band roots and began experimenting with different styles and sounds. I love just about every Beatles record, but Rubber Soul and onward was when they really came into their own and released a lot of what made me into a fan.

Taylor Swift for calling her work country.

Ke$ha simply for Tick-Tock or whatever.
And Niki Minaj (sp?) simply because her appearance scares the hell out of me. I don't need that in my nightmares.

Ugh, and Nickelback. Gravelly voice on every song for the sake of gravelly voice is not artistic. Especially when he sounds nothing like that IRL.

Them Beatles haters must be able to find at least five good songs :turned: I think the majority of their stuff is okay or boring but some of it is just amazing.. anyway there are artists that deserve your hate a lot more  (see kratos post)

Lately I've been occasionally listening to pop music that I used to hate or pretended to hate.. I'm not sure

If I had to pick one it would without question be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8u6EodZseg

Lil B transcends music as we know it. Read the masterful lyrics of a song like Swag Jerry Rice and weep at the fact you'll never be that #based.

Pretty much any mainstream, highly commercial "artist" that's been spawned in the last decade. Standards are so much lower now.

The Beatles aren't a bad band by most standards, but I don't think anyone could live up to their hype.

Bonio from U2, who still manages to get his face into the music mags in spite of not doing anything notable in years (or ever really, I never understood U2's popularity myself.) There's something annoying about the whiny-voiced, sanctimonious tax-dodger taking credit for heckling other people to make charitable donations. And when not him, Oasis, REM and any of the other usual bands that the music press still get much too excited about.

I don't stop to learn their names if I don't like them, so no idea really.. but a lot of performers already mentioned would make the grade.

Lately... Deadmau5, Pendulum and Skrillex, for being the epitome of how mediocre electronic music has become over the last decade.

Of all time, probably The Beatles.

Metallica.

I can't stand it or anyone who claims to be a hardcoe metal man because he listens to Metallica.
Metallica doesn't even play metal. They should rename their band Balladica or something.

Justin Bieber and Robin (Finland's Justin Bieber). Ugh!
This and Finnish rap artists. My ears start to bleed every time I hear some of their "music". Modern pop music in general is terrible.

There are plenty of bands/artists I really don't like, but far too many for me to list here.

As for most overrated, Metallica, Queen or U2 would fit the bill.

Despite that I'm filled to the brink with hate I gotta say I don't hate any musical act right now. :)
Tip: Don't watch MTV or VH1 for that matter and stay away from the radio.

Many. I dislike many bands/artists and if I could make them disappear I′d choose the Illuminati ones like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj etc.
