Samurai Warriors 2 Empires

OMG YES. And you are my all time favorite member <3. I still have that game, and remember playing the hell out of for 12 months straight. I never got tired of it. Out of the SW series, this one was done with sheer perfection.

Fatal Frame 1-4 (can't believe no ones mentioned them yet)

I would have, if FFI and FFIII weren't so scary that I never got past the first chapters. The scare factor in FFII was on a level that I can tolerate.

Everyone else must have forgotten about it.

The first three Splinter Cell games
Deadspace (both)\
Bioshock 1& 2 (hoping Infinite will be good too)
Everything HalfLife-God I am really hoping something new comes out!
Borderlands
Bulletstorm...what a fun, goofy game that was.

On the old Xbox console I liked for some reason James Bond: Nightfire
Also on the old console, TimeSplitters, Dues Ex: Invisible War, SSX Tricky and Snowblind to name a few.

And many more I can't think of right now.

I'm wondering why whenever I see Age of Empires in a list its always just Age of Kings. It is the gold standard by which all other RTS games must be judged, but that whole series is phenomenal.

Because Age of Empires is the predecessor, and Age of Empires II is better in basically every single way with no drawbacks.

The Conquerors is implicit in Age of Empires II, because it's just an expansion. Age of Kings is the cornerstone.

Mine would be, in no particular order:

Age Of Empires 2
F.E.A.R
Battlefield 2142
Empire Earth
Far Cry
Half-Life
System Shock 2 (I guess it counts)
Contra

True, but I still have very fond memories of Age of Empires and Age of Empires 3 is one of the best PC games I have ever played. I can understand that Age of Empires 2 is considered almost universally to be the best of the series, but all of those games are still phenomenal RTS'.

Assassin's Creed series (especially 2)
It's really the only other game series that I play.
Used to like GTA but wasn't a fan of the latest one.

Civilization 2 (you could build cities underwater and in space. These options never appeared again in following Civ games. They were more interested in graphics I guess)
Assassin's Creed 1 and 2
The whole Half Life series (except Ravenholm *shudders* lol)
Far Cry, the original game. The multiplayer was so much fun, I even joined a Clan and lead the Far Cry division for a year. I'm really excited that FC 3 is going back to the Tropical Island setting! I played FC 2, but it wasn't the same.

Ok, also going back a few years.
The Longest Journey (what an amazing, imaginative and inventive game that was)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4IstDuvyzc 1 and 2 (Hauntingly beautiful games!)
