Off the top of my head I have:

Age of Wonders 2

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Fall From Heaven 2 for Civ 4

Civilization 2: Test of Time

All of these are games that I can't currently play though, because I still don't freaking have Windows.

Technically Borderlands is an RPS. Its when an RPG and an FPS have a baby.

Borderlands is not an RPG. It's a shooter with stats. If that counts as an RPG no wonder the ratio of good RPGs to mediocre ones lately is very low.

Also, did I spell mediocre correctly?

Yes.

Oni. Okami. Can't think of any others that aren't at least half-RPG, at the mo.

Technically every game is a RPG because you play the role of "x" in the game :P

But -
Modern Warfare 1 & 3
Halo Reach
Peggle
Raskulls
Marvel Vs Capcom2
Minecraft

One of my favourites of yesteryear was Wild Bunch a text based game on the Amstrad 464 that could be seen as a fore-runner to the awesome Red Dead Redemption.
Text based games by Simon Avery were also great when I was younger.
In the here and now I like things like Dead Space, Silent Hill, Bioshock, Command and Conquer (PC versions)

What would I like to see? I'd sell my granny for a full on Discworld RPG with the production values of Skyrim (minus the glitches  )
I do know that Terry Pratchet has at least played Oblivion and his daughter writes story for RPG's... Just putting it out there Bethesda.

Eh, I would consider it an RPG due to the looting. grinding, farming, and skill trees. So far there have been 3 or so "RPS" games, and I don't consider that amount enough to call it a new genre. But I replaced it on my list with Viewtiful Joe, so it's all good.

Mario Wii - one of the single best multiplayer experiences anyone can ever have. get 3 friends, some booze, and this game, you will inevitably resort to killing each other over and over while falling down laughing the whole time. It's why the Wii is my favorite platform, every other system has forgotten how to bring people together, in the same room, and have a good time.
