Only 1? That's simple.

- No degradation of weapons and armor.

i love everything EXCEPT
the 'non-conversational' talking

people repeat themselves constantly- sometimes immediately after they've already said it
"im going to riverwood meet me there im going to river wood meet me there.....pause....im going to riverwood..."
"we should probably stick together down here...we should probably stick together down here..."
thats just in the first 10 minutes but it happens everywhere - it isnt rare

also people tell me their entire life story when i walk past them
in oblivion theyd say "hello" or "speak citizen" when i ran past
but now i can hear them still talking when im four blocks away
they just..keep...talking.

The UI. Its awful to navigate on PC. If Bethesda had included a more PC friendly UI Skyrim would be perfect imo...

The perk/level-up menu is horrible. Can't see what the options are, can't navigate it well with mouse, keyboard or control pad. Whole thing is crap and the only really bad part of the UI.

that was a design decision for this game, no classes but you level faster so you get perks faster to define your character.

That was going to be my main complaint as well.Even if it is a design decision it just doesn't feel right being level 8 after doing the tutorial and 1 dungeon. The other problem with that is how fast skills level and that Speech levels automatically just by trading.

form over function
it looks amazing but i can barely navigate to the perk i want to examine
i fumble past it several times before i can get to where i want to go

I've only had 23 hours of game time and lvl 17 so I haven't seen everything yet but my biggest qualm have to be how clunky the interface feels. Specifically on how often when I select an Item it would go to the previous menu as if I clicked on an invisible back button >.>. And the way the skill tree is done, it's atrocious how when you try to jump from one skill branch to another it somehow jump to the next skill tree, or go to another branch that you didn't intend to... seriously clumsy

I think that the Khajit's racial ability, Night Eye, needs to be changed so that it does not turn off automatically after 60 seconds.

My only complaint is that I was stupid enough to buy the game online with target gift cards. Skyrim won't arrive for another week! :swear:

My only complaint is that i cant block while dual wielding. if im just using a single one handed sword and i block i only use that one arm to block... why cant i do the same thing with the other sword too? or if i have a spell in the other hand, why cant i still block with my sword hand?

i understand that they did it for balance, but i have to say in this case it makes no since. shields are the ultimate blocking tool. why couldnt blocking with blades/axes/maces be used for parrying? or have half the the blocking capability of a shield of similar make? hell even a quarter would be better than no blocking at all.

hopefully mods will change this for me.

Something intangible, visually and atmospherically, that I'm missing from Skyrim that was in Oblivion and Morrowind. Sometimes it doesn't feel like an Elder Scrolls game when I'm playing.
Either that or the colour palette lacking in variety. WAAAYYYY too much brown and orange, coincidentally my two least favourite colours, but the snowy northern areas are wicked. Maybe I'm just too nostalgic over Cyrodiil.

I wish the game didn't keep reminding me of Bethesda's Fallout. It sometimes feels more like Fallout3 with swords than the next TES title.

The compass.

All that effort and promotion over removing everything possible from the screen for total immersion, and they stick that compass bar across the top. It drives me crazy. It's like a lock of hair falling down into my eyes, that I can never move out of the way. Irritating, and immersion spoiling. If only they enabled a toggle.

Of course, the only reason it irritates me so much is because it's one of only a few flaws in an otherwise perfect game IMHO, which makes it stand out that much more.

As an aside, I've also accidentally ate things while storing items, so I feel for whoever mentioned that. And I'm also not sure why some items stored are alphabetized, and others aren't, seemingly at random. It makes sorting through things a chore.

The PS3 version is, unfortunately, broken. It runs and looks great at first, but the saved data files grow rapidly and the larger they get, the more problems there are. I'm only 15 hours (saved data file size is 4.6 mbs) into the game and already experiencing stuttering that didn't exist early in the game and people with file sizes at 5-6 mbs and above are reporting abysmal performance. It's ruining an otherwise amazing game.

Just one? Nah.

1. Not enough spells & no spell creation
2. Lack of attributes and such
3. Horses
4. Conversations: "people repeat themselves constantly- sometimes immediately after they've already said it" "Ever done mercenary work? May suit you." Also how you cant talk to people in a more normal way like "whats life like in Whiterun?" you get this ssooommeettiimmess like the guy in the general store in Whiterun or Alvor but not nearly enough.
5. So. Many. Fetch Quests.
6. NPCs don't seem to have a real life like in Oblivion. As in having schedules and such... they seem more like ports to fetch quests. This for some reason has affected me a lot.
7. (Nitpicking here) Not the biggest color palette in a video game. It's still very beautiful though.
