The first one I saw was the one at Kvatch and the whole effect of the changing of the sky and the enemie coming out of it and the wastland around it really made me love the atmostfer.

i entered kavatch befor and only then realize that i have to go in there!! my reaction was preety much like "OMFG there is lava in there!!! the hell with it i quit to my mother store"

well, my first time was on my buddys xbox, so it wasnt really that bad. i was just kinda like "hey dude whats that thing?" "go in it" "mmmmk"

I almost can't remember my first reaction so long ago has it been. My current char however can certainly remember her reaction:

The rumbling crackle of thunder was almost constant. Streaks of red lightning danced across the black sky, illuminating the dead trees. Monstrous curved spikes protruded from the earth in front of the walls surrounding Kvatch. Flames licked the ominous opening that could only be a gate to the planes of Oblivion itself. What manner of horror was this?

I already had a basic idea of what would be waiting for me, as I had seen other people playing the game before I bought it. I really can't remember what my reaction was exactly, but I probably just cast my heal minor wounds spell a few times and charged in, steel longsword drawn.

eeek i didnt like the gates at all n as soon as i entered i was like damn i aint finna do all this!!! but i completed the main quest just to get rid of all those gates LOL
