2469 Armor. 3199 Damage using (Smithing, Alchemy, Enchanting

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 9:35 am

I don't you can consider going from 25% to 29% an egregious loop. What is really driving the bonus is being able to get enchanted smithing gear, mix that with good smithing potions, then throwing + armor and skill enchants into the mix. Smithing and enchanting are easy to level. Alchemy is hard.

Might give this a try on my next character, smithing is dead easy to level up to 100, done that no problem. But alchemy and enchanting, both are pretty slow for me, anyone got any advice for how to level them up quick? Using trainers then pick pocketing the money you gave only really works up to level 51 for me, money you need to use triples at some point so you can't steal it back.

Darn, I svck! My daedric total armor is only at 304 right now. My heavy armor is only at about 38 right now. I'm trying to let things hit me lol but it gets boring after while. I'll be saving up some gold now since I have my Daedric armor and weapons set for my load out, and i'll try to get some enchanting powers on them to boost it some more. Theres so much to learn with this game!

lol @ all the cry babies in this thread.

Why is it unfathomable to you that min/max will gain incredible benefits??

All 3 professions were made to incredibly enhance your gear. DERP.
That is the point of picking 3 buffing professions!!

I doubt most of the people crying have even spent more than 5- 10 hours and are even playing above adept difficult.

For the person saying - I don't wanna do 100 damage when I can do 1,000. Then spend the time and effort to raise them so you can do it.
It boggles the mind how lazy some people are.

If you wanna do optimal dps then pick the optimal build.

There will always be optimal builds.

I have a question about the last step jerich..

I've been able to replicate everything you did except the last step, my dagger shows as 171 damage and sword shows 518 damage just as you posted in the second last step. What potion/buffs are you using to increase your damage so much? I used a potion that increases one hand damage by 130% but I know that wouldn't affect dagger damage so I must be missing something.

As far as i can tell the alchemy skill level doesn't affect the strength of the potions you make or anything other than which perks you can choose. Meaning that you only need to raise it to 80 for the purposes of this thread and not 100.

can anybody confirm this? im currently at 76 alchemy, if true then i wont bother wasting my time to 100.

Alchemy DOES affect potion strength abeith far too little.

I made 32hp potions with a recipe at 20 alchemy and its now producing 36hp potions at 45 alchemy. No perks.

Wait, so you can increase the strength of your enchantments with potions? That's pretty useful since I'm working on my Alchemy skill.

Pardon me if this has been said, there is 160 replies , I have not read them all.

Have you tried the "Shrouded Hand Wraps" from dark brotherhood? NOT the ones they give you but the red fingerless gloves in the bookshelf. They DO DOUBLE SNEAK ATTACK with ONE HANDED Weapons, compared to BACKSTAB with the DB ones. I am assuming Backstab is Daggers only.

Console ID is 000CF8A9

now these are cloth and you forego bonuses, BUT for 2x Sneak with a 1H might be worth looking into?

I have a question about the last step jerich..

I've been able to replicate everything you did except the last step, my dagger shows as 171 damage and sword shows 518 damage just as you posted in the second last step. What potion/buffs are you using to increase your damage so much? I used a potion that increases one hand damage by 130% but I know that wouldn't affect dagger damage so I must be missing something.

I was rushing on that last step, and just chugged a 130% archery, 1 handed and 2 handed potion. Dagger damage seemed to go up when I moused over it.

For those of you who want to replicate this before they invest the time into doing this with a character legitimately... here are some console commands you can use:

Raising Skills:
AdvSkill Alchemy 100 - Simulates using the Skill 100 times. You can change the skill name and the number to level up naturally (doesn't screw up stats)

Smithing:
player.additem f 10000 - Adds 10k gold
player.additem 2e4ff 10 - Adds 10 grand gems
player.additem 3ad5b 10 - Adds 10 Daedra Hearts
player.additem 5ad9d 10 - Adds 10 ebony ingots
player.additem 877c9 1 - Adds a diamond ring to enchant
player.additem 877f1 1 - Adds a gold neck
player.additem 3ad53 5 - Adds 5 cave bear pelts (which you can use to make leather)

Alchemy:
For crafting potions I use Spriggan sap, snowberries and glowing mushrooms.
player.additem 63b5f 10 - 10 spriggan sap
player.additem 1B3Bd 10 - 10 snowberies
player.additem 7ee01 10 - glowing mushrooms

For Heavy armor + block potions I use
3ad70, 134aa and 3ad61

For two handed swords I would use
4da00, 889a2, ec870

For archery / one handed I would use
6abcb, 5076e, 6bc02

I'll try to add some hints for leveling up the legit way in a bit.

So, Does Dagger benefit from One-handed damage+ perks and enchantmens? Also do Daggers work under the Bladesman perks?

I drank the same potions and it looks like the marksman potion is incorrectly buffing one hand, two hand and daggers. This doesn't work with enchantment though, just the fortify marksman potion.

Hey Jerich I was wondering when you level what do you spend your attribute point in? Health or stamina? Or do you go health and stam alternating everyone once in awhile. (Didn't mention magicka since this is a warrior build.)

I would either go 50/50 Health / Sta or 60 / 40 Health Sta.

@zelan - That is good to know. That probably explains the outrageous sword stats when potion buffed if they are stacking.

It's only for upgrading already enchanted items so is a waste when you can just upgrade before you enchant.

Some found items might be better than what you can craft, particularly those with more than 2 effects. It isn't a wasted perk from what I can see.

I'm level 33 and have been doing Health every level. Do you guys even use that much stamina? However I do notice my HP is so high for this level that I never get low on it even when i have multiple enemies.

With Daedric Smithing Level 100 (Steel, Dwarven, Orcish, Ebony, Daedric: 5 Perks) (18 Perks Total)
  • Full Daedric Armor: 1020 Armor
  • Daedric Bow: 114 Damage
  • Daedric Dagger: 90 Damage
  • Daedric Two Handed Sword: 129 Damage
  • Daedric One Handed Sword: 99 Damage

finally another one i could test today without cheats legally and i can say :

i have now : 100 heavy armor 100 smithing. all items improved to legendary condition WITHOUT potions. they come at your next step.

the armor values here are WRONG. badly wrong.

my armor value now is 672 with full deadric improved to "legendary" condition. with ALL perks in heavy armor. so dont even bother this is correct even with a shield your value is still wrong and you didnt mention skilling blocking perks so that does not count since it would add another 5 perks at min.

now before you ask: i made a complete NEW set to test if i upgrade with 100 heavy armor and smithing to see if improving is then maybe better it is NOT. values remain at 672 max. so your 1020 here is wrong 100%

reason : i dont now but maybe you already used some kind smithing improvment potion/entchantment at this point without mentioning it.

i can not say if the final value will be changed by my discovery because of this because my alchemy is still at 60 and i am trying hard to get money for trainers since skilled this thing takes AGES by far the hardest to train skill so it makes sense it is this strong.

i think that the one handed values are wrong aswell se above reason.

proof:

i am not 100% sure but i have 86 one handed now and my legendary deadric sword is doing 69 dmg without any enchants or potions. i have all the dmg improving perks of one handed already and theres no way my sword will rise up another 30 dmg with only 14 points left. because it does at max gain ONE point per rank atm. sometimes not even one.

please repeat your steps till the point with smithing and armor and weapon skill at 100 and make SURE you dont have any improving effects or potions running.

thats it for now. back to skilling alchemy. damn.

Also, if you could just loop these crafts until you hit the cap on the best gear. Why would you need to max out the +20% perks for enchanting or alchemy. Couldn't you just loop a few more times until you hit the cap instead of using 8 extra perks?(You would still need to have the initial perk in it)

This is a valid optimization concern, the extra perk can power another whole skill tree. Anyone who already manages to replicate the OP's success can try to deperk themselves and see if it is possible? Deperk commands are here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Console_Commands_(Skyrim)

@Neverar X

Were you using a shield? It's possible I forgot to remove something or had a hidden perk interfering here. I had more perks than the recommended, but I was using a fresh batch of armor without any enchants on it.... Unless I left my +heavy armor rings on, I don't see what would have changed stats. I will create a new character and test again using the console. Honestly, the first three points were mainly there for comparison. I spent the majority of the time working on the more top end stuff and just consoled this newer stuff to test with. I'm going to make a new character tonight and I will see if I can get him that far. Doubt I can retest before the weekend though. Let me know what you are getting with the further changes. Was it just that one that is giving your problems?

Made some basic guids to help people level Crafting + Make a new Char in Masters. See the first post.

I use a bit of Magic and Stamina is kinda important for high damaging attacks since I used DWing. My character is planned like this (Currently almost 24): Level 50= 70% Health, 20% Stamina, 10% Magicka or 35 Health boosts (450), 10 Stamina Boosts (200), and 5 Magicka boosts (150). Might take some out of health depending on how I handle it on Expert and dump em into Stamina first and Magicka last.

50 is the soft cap. After that, leveling becomes much slower. The hard cap is 81 if memory serves.

So realistically, you should plan your build around 50 unless you plan on heavy grinding.
