Animals you won't kill

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:30 pm

I try not to kill any "hostile" animals. Instead, I use Kyne's Peace to ward them off.

After all, if I go around slaughtering all the apex predators, then the mountain goat population will explode and there would be even more them in my damn way.

I don't kill domesticated animals like chickens or cows, but out in the wild I kill everything that moves

Unless the animal attacks me first, I don't attack it.

I have also taken to using Kynes Peace to avoid battling the otherwise hostile animals. Not their fault that I am indigestible.
This, I don't see the point in charging round killing everything, I'm not from Texas

I don't have any animals i won't kill for myself, but I add things like this to my characters. My current character, Thorom, will not kill any animals who do not pose a threat to him or anyone else on purpose(sadly I have accidently killed a few neutral animals :( ).
I consider making a ranger-ish character which will have qualms about killing neutral animals, but he will not kill them without reason.

Depends on character. A hunter character will of course hunt. Primarily deers, foxes and rabbits. I see little point in engaging sabre cats or bears though.

Thylacines. Everything else in Skyrim is fair game and shall be butchered accordingly.

I'm a Texan and I do not approve of this statement. :stare:

That's just like me saying: I don't see the point in charging into Russian cannon fire on horseback, I'm not English.

It was a joke about the Skyrim demo Bethesda showed in Texas for Quakecon. The audience kept shouting for Todd to kill a dog in Riverwood and then they wanted him to kill a horse

Maybe I should have made the influence for the joke clear or at least funny :hehe:. Sorry

I go out of my way to hunt dogs for their tasty meat.

Anything else is fair game as well... especially Argonians.

I avoid killing... bunnies, horses, dogs, foxes and mammoths. I think my bunnie count on my level 60 thief is up to 5.

I do also dislike seeing wolves in cages. I have still killed them if I have been in the dungeon since there's no real way to let them out of there... I did however find one wolf trapped in the wild wich I decided to let out and use kyne's peace on. I also killed the trappers that came running after I opened up the cage.

I wont kill Goats, Deer, Mooses, Foxes, Rabbits, dogs, and fish. And any I see dead in the wild, I resurrect with my scripted resurrection spell. Mammoths are only an exception if they attack me on sight without a warning.

Also animals that are under spriggans control, I do not kill. Instead I override it with Kyne's Peace shout.

Spriggans are nasty, though.

They're not particularly sixy but I respect the fact that they're some sort of guardians of nature. It seems to me a ranger-alchemist-druidic type character would have been nice in Skyrim, befriending spriggans and protecting the wild, with a few water, earth and wind spells to complement of course.
