The animal I won't kill is... nonexistent.
Joking. I love the cute wittle animals, but most of the characters I've played have hunted animals. Hey, got to get some game to have lunch.

Just like in real life, I avoid all violent conflict when possible, but will not hesitate even for a sec if there is a good reason behind it.
In Morrowind, I used to act the same way, but would go on a rampage from time to time when I get bored or to blow some steam (would save before every rampage and then load when I'm done), but I don't do that in Skyrim/Oblivion since I can't (no, you can't - fact).

Unless they're undead, I try not to kill anything whatsoever. Occasionally, bandits will force my hand, but beyond that, I spare most of what crosses my path. 'Cept spiders. Damn things give me the creeps.

I LOVE ANIMALS! Especially with ketchup.

That said, and the fact that this is a video game that lacks cute kittens, the wildlife suffers my wrath....all of it. Dragon shouts bunnies and foxes make for a fun distraction when hiking to Riften.

Yep. Fire shouting chickens and rabbits into a ready-made well done meal is fun. I won't chase after them but if they don't get out of the way, they're lunch.

Pretty much the same list as the OP I guess but I do kill foxes and deer for the pelts/leather as I am generally wearing light armor and need the leather for crafting.

My current character however is an archer and she takes great pleasure in bringing down hawks.

Rude bastard!
But, but.. it's so much fun to hunt innocent little furry bunnies. :c
Sometimes I run after them for really long time trying to kill them.

I try to avoid killing wolves because my character is a werewolf and I feel like.. I just shouldn't kill them, lol. But whenever my character is in beast form I kill everything in my path except wolves. I love bringing down mammoths as a werewolf.

It depends on the mood I'm in. It doesn't bother me a bit to kill animals that don't actually exist because they are nothing more than creatures in a video game. I would kill puppies, kittens, and baby seals if they were in the game too. It's not real, people. IT'S A GAME! That being said, kill 'em all and let Talos sort 'em out. :gun: :bunny:

My character kills only animals that attack her, or would attack her.
She doesn't hunt because she is a vegetarian.

I also resurrect any dead animals I see in my travels.

Doesn't last a resurrection only 60 seconds?

I once fought a bear with my bare hands...in the end...the bear won. :whistling:

If they are not scripted dead, and their corpse isn't 'empty' adding the 'one' to the command usually works.

Just Horkers, they're too cute. But that Bunnies Slaughtered count isn't going to up itself!

Generally I just whack 'em with a Yol, kills most animals easily. And deer make such a satisfying sound when you kill them.

From video's i've seen on Youtube i noticed that some people who play Skyrim kill every animal that crosses their path. Personally, i'm a animal lover and i will never kill animals, unless they are a direct treat to me.

Here's a list of animals i don't kill:

Mudcrabs
Horkers
rabbits
Mammoths
Goates
Deers
Dogs
Cows
Horses
Foxes

What is your point of view on animals in Skyrim? And do you kill them?
The same as all you have above, plus wolves, bears, sabre cats, and spriggans. I created a mod called http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10860 that makes them all friendly, so never have to fight them. They have even come to help my characters a few times, which was nice. So the last time one of my characters saw a frost troll attacking a spriggan, she joined in and stood shoulder to shoulder with the spriggan. She saved its life, and put down the troll. After that it was Miller Time. You know the best thing about drinking Nord Mead with a spriggan? They don't drink, that leaves it all for you! ;)

i kill foxes, bunnies, deers and everything else that will attack me first.
i love slaughtering deers tho, because they are so damn annoying as they can spot you even when you still hidden and then start running way with their unlimited. I chased a deer for 10mins once and when i got to it i captured its soul and tortured it with flames. i got the best feeling ever after killing that SOB

I'm the same. I only kill animals that attack me. Mud crabs often get splattered as they try to attack me. Many times I have ignored them and just ran past them as they are too slow to be a massive threat.

I have never ever seen a bear or wolf not attack....

If you keep your distance from bears, at least sometimes they will just growl for you go keep away. At least that is been my experience sometimes. But if you get too close or attack with an arrow or magic they will then turn hostile.

If I have soul gems that need filling then animals die and you can use some of them in potions.

I generally don't kill animals but it can happen sometimes. I find the wolves and bears way too aggressive in that game. I know it's not like Earth but wolves and bears don't attack humans on sight (they can, but it's not automatic).

There was one character where I was guilty of killing animals because I wanted to increase my enchanting skill and animal make for cheap soul gems. it was more tedious than anything. Never again.

A weird thing that happened to me last night: I was fighting a dragon, he landed but he was still a bit far so I was still using my bow. I shot an arrow but missed him, and guess what? I see on the screen: "Critical strike on fox". I was like what?

So I finish off rhe dragon, go explore where I figured the arrow landed, and yes, dead fox. How unlucky that fox was. Sad.

I once killed a follower for killing a goat. What can i say, i like animals more than humans. :frog:
Wow. A little over the top with the insult there isn't it? It doesn't bother me and I belong to PETA. People for Eating Tasty Animals.

I don't kill any critters unless I'm at Stage 4 Vampirism and have to make my own food to survive. They're all so precious. ;o;
