Not sure what you mean.
On the game?

On the forum?
No. The forum has forum rules you agreed to when making an account.

It's kind of a double standard. You are a respected poster, so you aren't allowed to curse. Although you can suggest an arena where it's allowed. Usually for gamers, it's like Dota 2 or stuff where kids hate kids and you have to work at it to find someone who can hear you curse

Eh, I agree it should be a setting in the user control panel, but not my forum.

Also, this should be in COmmunity discussion.

You may not be a child, however others who use this forum might be.
As others had said either way you agreed to the forum rules when registering.

find a forum that allows it and go for it.

in order to join this forum you have to agree not to. why ask after the fact if you can when up front you know you can't?

More and more forums these days are beginning to allow it, and I think it's for the best, personally.

I don't see what harm would come from an option to disable the filter in your control panel. People swear anyway and it shows up as [censored], so it really wouldn't be any different for those who chose not to disable the filter.

cursing is the cry of an ignorant mind trying to make itself heard.

No. Although one may argue that the degree of censoring is rather incongruous considering the language in some of the games, them's the rules, and attempting to avoid the autocensor will likely result in a formal warning.

Debatable. Obviously he can communicate without cussing, but it can genuinely be used as a means of articulate expression.

People say a lot of things, but much of it is nonsense.

Lots of things can be used for lots of other things.

99 times out of 100, people are only cussing to express emotions they can't seem to control or be generally obnoxious.

The remaining instance, they're good comedians like George Carlin. And I doubt he posts here.

On the upside, it's probably safe to describe your opponents as milk drinkers. ;-)

I have not found that to be true at all in life. In fact, I find people who are offended by letters and sounds to be infinitely more childish than people who might want to use them in certain ways occasionally.

Find whatever you like. The ability to accept societal customs, even the ones you don't agree with, is an important milestone in maturation.

What I want to know is why does it matter in either direction? Who cares if they're censored, who cares if they're not?

I disagree with you entirely, but it's not a problem. The only reason I mentioned it in the first place is because of the unprovoked finger-wagging that was going on. I don't come here to be looked down on for my vocabulary, which I happen to think is quite sufficiently trained.

It doesn't really matter to me. The OP asked a question and I had an opinion on it. That's all.

The only valid reason (scientifically proven of course) to swear, is to ease PHYSICAL and MENTAL pain.

Any other times are without reason, logic or indeed intelligence.
