Anyone Else Feel That Earthquake...? (Virginia)

Maybe the government is testing out some new kind of weapon in their top secret underground facilities.

Same. I'm in VA as well.

Cheers!

Anyone eager for the aftershocks? Being a Virginian I don't get to feel this kind of thing that often. It's really cool!

I felt it and I'm about 90 miles away from Washington. My 1st thought was it was a plane flying over my house but after I went outside and saw everything was normal I then figured out it was an Earthquake, Hope nobody got hurt.

Ok, you guys are going to think I'm crazy...I was sitting here (in Metro Detroit) at 1:55 and thought I felt something like a very mild shaking...."No, can't be...who knows". I looked at the clock, just in case...then I checked the Drudge Report a little while later...and....voila & bingo !

It was either real, my imagination, a premonition, or sheer coincidence....but I thought I felt something at 1:55 and Detroit is a long way from there.

The quake originated at Beth's office when they were testing a dragon shout.

By the way, it's because Chuck Norris did a push-up.

Dammit, I knew they shouldn't have hired Chuck Norris as a voice actor, especially dragon shouts.
I hope they are okay.... and alive.
They must have been deperate in trying to make Alduin's roar the epicest. Well, I think it worked.

I've heard reports that it was felt as far north as Rhode Island.

Since the Forums still up I'm assuming that Rockville got away with no problems.

It scared the crap out of my two daughters, and even freaked me out a little as well, I was half alseep on the couch. For a reminder, I live on top of a mountain in Western Maryland(The very edge of Washington county). Shook out entire place, I ended up rushing next door in my underwear to make sure my 'rents felt it as well and that it wasn't just our place about to collapse.

Yeah, wtf? There's really no reason for us to have that sort of magnitude. I heard it was up to Boston. kewlz

I felt it, even though I live in Central North Carolina. (It was more the computer desk shaking for me.)

The Earthquake was only a half a mile deep that's probably why a lot of people felt it.

I live as far west as you can go in Rhode Island but I didn't feel anything. When did it happen, though? I was probably asleep.

About a half an hour ago, around 1:50-1:55 PM EST.

It's 3.7 miles I read, but that's still very shallow, yeah.

3.7 miles is still very shallow, I can't remember the exact number the japan quake's depth was but that was only 5 miles deep although severely more powerful due to the 9.0.

Apparently, it hit here (New York state) as a 2.2 quake... but I slept through it and didn't feel a thing. I doubt a 2.2 could even be felt, anyway.

Yeah, I felt it over in Maryland. Scared the [censored] out of me while I was playing Deus Ex. And now there's this one clock that just won't stop ticking, and it's going through hours in minutes so it keeps chiming.
