I figure they're going to be more interested in people with multiple, possibly low-level characters. In addition to the bugs, they probably want to gauge the difficulty and how balanced it is across character and level types. Since I delete all of my old characters, and used the Oghma Infinium glitch on my current one, I doubt that they're going to choose me and my level 81 Khajiit. I did have a second character, and initially picked two when filling out the form, but had to re-start the form when I checked my saves and found that I already deleted it...

It's all a sham I tell you! :fakenopic: :ahhh: A conspiracy! :whisper:

They're trying to get more people to create accounts, :user: :deal: then they'll send out they're mind control waves :shocking: thru our computers to take over our brains :bonk: and turn us all into mindless slaves!!! :drag: Servants to Todd Howard in his mad pursuit of calipers.... and caliper related paraphernalia.

*Wabbajacks you* :poke:

As long as everyone promises to keep quiet and not give away any spoilers, they may decide to let many people play the beta.

I did the same thing. I doubt it really matters to be quite honest as long as you have an account with the same email as you gave them.

I just hope they let lower level guys in. Would be a shame if they only let the people who grinded for 20 straight days in.

Does it matter how accurate we have to be about our skyrim character(s)?

I know, I should have posted with a little more clarity lol, only the first sentence was directed at you. I reckon MS would fork out for these exclusives regardless of whether or not they charge for online play...

Other than that I totally agree with you. Apologies for the confusion
Ah right. Thanks for clearing it up. But yeah, PS3 players should stop complaining and buy an xbox instead. That is why microsoft do it, to make the xbox seem more attractive.

I don't think they should stop complaining, I just think they should redirect their complaints. As it is, I can sense a big shift in the balance of sales coming on the next generation of consoles, unless Sony pull their finger put of their backsides.

Let's not forget this is the company which removed all backwards compatibility, before starting to re-release their back catalogue as paid downloads. I used to be a playstation owner, but that move has seriously pushed me further into the arms of MS, at least they kept as much backwards compatibility as they could initially, before patching more in over the lifespan of the console. For FREE.

It will be awesome if I get picked to play early because Dawnguard looks pretty sweet, for the same reason though I don't mind waiting for a month and buying it. I wanna see how it affects a Werewolf player when you go down the Vampire quest line.

(Assuming that's how it works of course)

I used to own a playstation 3. It broke, I bought an Xbox to see what they were like and preferred it as MS did more for it's players.

Thanks Patti! I initially signed up so I could have a shot at beta testing the DLC, but the community seems awesome, and I think I'll be here for good.

It would be an honor to help fix the DLC up for my fellow players such as yourself.

That's what had me for a few seconds, but I realised it was separate for each playthrough.

I never knew this forum existed until I signed up for the beta, would be good to be part of the beta testing, but if not this looks like a good community forum. I hope the people who are selected do actually participate in testing though.

Does anyone know when the testers will be selected? I don't think we'll get an email informing us we weren't chosen.

I really hope this DLC is substaintial. I hope it is like 20-30 hours of additional gameplay. I am already 100+ hours on my only save, and I want that to increase by a lot. I had 150+ hours in Oblivion, and I want to beat that out.

I might make a Vampire/Witch Hunter character for testing Dawnguard. Lets see specialize in maces, block, heavy armor, and restoration? (or would illusion spells be better for turning undead?)
