Apply to be in the Dawnguard 360 Beta Thread 3

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 10:09 pm

I did the same thing. I doubt it really matters to be quite honest as long as you have an account with the same email as you gave them.

I just hope they let lower level guys in. Would be a shame if they only let the people who grinded for 20 straight days in.

The game has been out since 11-11-11..... Most of the people on these forums have been playing since then, and haven't needed to grind at all to get high level characters.

I've got about 12 distinct characters I could test this with, I just can't bring myself to get rid of them!

I just hope it's not a U.S. only thing, as I'm quite excited at the prospect of being involved in the testing process. I've never had the chance before.

I hope you aren't, simply because you just said you just want to play the game early and not bug test. And only report bugs if by some chance you see them and not try to find them

No clue. I really hope it isn't randomized. I hope it's hand picked.

A fight to the death.

Or there is a certain demographic they are after so they cut out the undesired applicants, and then randomly pick from what they have left.

I think we should all have a melee though.

We could bring back the imperial city's arena and slug it out there?

It could be Tamriels version of Shakespeares Theatre!

"Whats that? You want HOW much rent? The guys over in skyrim dont charge NEARLY that much! What? Tough? Alright, two can play at that game"

*waits until rent-extractors aren't looking, breaks down arena, transports to skyrim and reassembles*

Just read an article and apparently you don't have to be a member to join. You just apply. I bet there are loads of people who have applied for it so chances of people getting in look slim.

That is true, about not needing a forum account to apply. But if I was going to recruit people, you can bet that the first ones would be the ones that are active in the forum.

Although they'll most probably be wanting to get a range of players to test out the beta, ^ My money would be with Mr Cinco on where they choose the majority of those players. (I could be wrong)

As much as I hate to say it. The complainers will probably be first on the boat. They are the ones that are most about fix this and that.

They must pick forum members. How else will people give feedback. The other thing is that those who don't have accounts are just trying to get early/ free dlc, and won't actually give feedback. If they are going to do it like they did with the patches people need to be members so they can post in a beta forum.

I wonder if they want you to test it just on your current character or create a new one

Most likely they want both. Like my Nord who is a werewolf, they would want to make sure it all works the way it should, like have the vampire dude tell you to cure your lycanthropy if you wish to become one of them.

Does it matter that my character level and playtime have increased since filling out the application form?

We won't hear much in the way of details even if they do though,.. or if we do it won't be for long

Hopefully we won't get the full blast of it, as they'l have to keep things hushed, due to that long wall of legal text you have to agree to before signing up to the Beta. That said, i don't mind them reporting bugs if it means it'll get fixed, i just cant deal with all these people moaning that the game isn't precisely how they thought it would be in their over precise and detailed yet highly unrealistic imaginations, and so blaming the developers.

That won't bother me. I meant that complainers will make potentially good testers as they tend to nit-pick a game to death.
