Apply to be in the Dawnguard 360 Beta Thread 3

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 9:20 am

Even the possiblity of getting to play Dawnguard early and test it for bugs has made me pick up my stealth/illusion Breton. I'm a bit out of my element with that type of character, so I had put it down for awhile.

- Yay, I'm a layman no more!

Hopefully we won't get the full blast of it, as they'l have to keep things hushed, due to that long wall of legal text you have to agree to before signing up to the Beta. That said, i don't mind them reporting bugs if it means it'll get fixed, i just cant deal with all these people moaning that the game isn't precisely how they thought it would be in their over precise and detailed yet highly unrealistic imaginations, and so blaming the developers.
You're probably right, just I'm sure there will be some of those people that view it as a "demo" and "woohoo I get this for free" and don't actually contribute anything to getting the bugs that need to be fixed addressed before the DLC launches as well.

(Also I just signed up, sup guys)

We won't hear much in the way of details even if they do though,.. or if we do it won't be for long
I wouldn't be surprised if someone posted Dawnguard spoilers the first day of the beta right in the Skyrim section.

Now that you mention it, I do to.

With a massive library to hold all the books in the game.

They must pick forum members. How else will people give feedback. The other thing is that those who don't have accounts are just trying to get early/ free dlc, and won't actually give feedback. If they are going to do it like they did with the patches people need to be members so they can post in a beta forum.
not necessarily I have got messages on psn to join a beta and sign up for a website for beta my other friends have been on tons of beta's and have never gone on forums

You are until you change that avi  jk

Be aware, that discussing your status in praise is somewhat frowned upon. I don't know why. I guess kids tend to be "Mine is better than yours" :meh:

They actually did list a forum account as a requirement though, so I think they will probably check if the persons email who applied matches the email of a forum member before they send said person a code. They also did say on the form to make sure the email you put in matches your forum account one so...

I want to thank Bethesda for actually giving us this opportunity to test a DLC Beta for such an amazing game. Even though as we know not everyone who applied may be picked but to know that they created a great game, and that so far it is running so well. We all know as well, that "Dawnguard" will not be the only expansion pack because Oblivion had about three DLC's. Whether I am picked or not, I still cannot wait till I play "Dawnguard", I am really looking forward to it.

Thanks

I am prepared to try beta testing this, would they be happy with someone likely to just create like 10 characters and replay the DLC over in different ways to see they all work ok?

About how many applicants will be selected, and how, if we are selected, will we receive the xbla code (email or message on the forums)?
P.S. DAWNGUARD FTW!!!!!!!!! DAMN THEE VAMPIRES TO OBLIVION! (I guess that wouldn't really be punishment for them though, since they worship Lord Molag Bal, Prince of Domination)

They'll send it to you via email, hence why you entered your email...

That's the problem with all these laymen. Lots of them wouldn't be bothered if there account got banned if they did that.

I had a different email listed on here so i had to change it here.

And then they would make more accounts wondering why they were banned :P

I'm judging from Bethesda's other betas where you had to be a forum member.

Hey I just signed up after I did the beta, should I re-do the application or just not worry?

How do you think they're going to pick the beta players? I think that they already have some and are just going to pick some random ones that just signed up for extra feedback.

It's funny because majority of those selected for beta will most likely just play it and not test at all.
