Are You Going to be a Medic?

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 5:43 pm

I love medic classes.

I love them so much I sleep with them.

I literally plug every hole in the medic class.

But really, I'm DEAD set on being a light medic & supporting the team..... I just feel like an asshat if I don't. Supporting the team is in all honesty the most satisfying & rewarding experience in a multiplayer game... it just makes me feel fuzzy on the inside :D I truly mean it when I say throwing yourself into the fire to help a team mate is far more rewarding then a kill.

So! Any fellow "Me's" out there?

Medics might support the team more than others, but almost every role has an equal opportunity to help the team

Was going to be a medic, but there are too many draws at his point. Enough players are going to be a medic for the extra XP (as well as those that generally want to be a medic) that there are going to be needs elsewhere.

I will have a medic, but unless both my friends get Brink and play day 1 with me I probably won't have the medic as my first class.

Medics bring you back from the gates of hell itself & can single-handedly win the game for the team.

I'm not saying buffing weapons & ammo is bad, just that medic seems 20,000 times more useful.

Except that I could just respawn form the gates of hell. Give me a better weapon and maybe I don't end up there in the first place. ;)

You'll be a Medic going up to revive someone, when in all actuality, as the Spy from Team Fortress would say, "I'm right behind you..."

Playing a rogue for six years on WoW (don't burn me) has cause me to be obligated to be a light operative. Now if the situation were with a priest (or any other healing class) instead of a rogue, I'd agree with the medic thing here. But fate has made me a true assassin...an assassin with bacon.

Your avatar suits you well :)

Heh, I'll probably always be either a medic or operative if there are no open medic slots available.

why does many of you think that you only can play 1 class? since you got 10 character slots. and a comand post. i believe people will play each of every different class, everyone will play as a soldier, medic, engineer and operative from time to time.

I never said that, just that I would rather play as a medic.

I'll play every class as is neccesary.

The option to switch class isn't there so everyone can be anyone, it's there so no team falls behind because they don't have someone. The idea of the game is to be who you want to be, and some will be a focused class as much as they can be (and hopefully become good at it) while others will be utility players because it is who they are.

Im going FULL ZOMBIE MEDIC on this piece. Just rush the front lines with the biggest damn gun you have and then kill kill kill. Then when you die then revive yourself. Then kill kill kill from behind the front lines. Go get ammo from soldier. Repeat.

I don't like the idea that teammates decide when they get revived. It can encourage selfishness. Rambo Medics are necessary to keep the fight going, even with the whole "don't revive me, bro" thing.
