Are you still playing Skyrim?

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 5:12 am

I haven't played Skyrim since last week. According to my Steam stats, I have played this game for 83 hours. Over that time, I've played both a Breton mage and a Nord warrior. Finished a vast majority of the quests. 70% of the achievements complete.

Now, I am just waiting for the 1.4 patch and CS to come out. Perhaps this time I might actually try my hand at some minor modding.

I stopped playing 2 or 3 weeks ago. I've had 4 characters into the late 50 levels. Before I stopped playing entirely I couldn't stand playing Skyrim for longer than 30 minutes in one sitting. The lack of balance for combat just ruins the game for me personally. The combat mechanics are already shallow and the poor balance only makes the gameplay even more stale.

I got 300 hours out of Skyrim which was not bad at all but alot of that is due to the fact i was hoping it would get better which it did not. They made a amazing looking world and some really detailed dungeons but everything else was lacking.I still have not finished and can not even force myself to finish it its boring.

I'm not playing Skyrim anymore due to me selling it and being bored of it.

I stopped playing it a week ago in anticipation for the patch. Hopefully it can stop my PS3 version from turning to mush.

Yeah, I can't play the game for more than an hour myself these days. This is such a contrast to when I first got the game. On my first session, I logged seven straight hours of gameplay. And if it weren't for school, I would have played until dawn.

I find it sad that you guys are already either selling the game, or just not playing it anymore.

How can you guys be ashamed of the game?

You think one day a game will be PERFECT?

Yeah, not in this world.

So why exactly do people who sell their game because they thought it was boring keep coming to this forum?

Off and on. I dropped it for a week or two and played other games. Then I came back to it, but haven't been playing it as much as I did before.

Nope.

I got three characters: Warrior, Mage and Rogue up to level 30ish. Finished the main quest on the Warrior and Mage. Did all the Companion, Mages Guild, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests with the appropriate classes. Got all the daedric artifacts. Did the civil war as an Imperial supporter, Stormcloak supporter, and stayed neutral.

As far as I’m concerned, I did everything. Now I’ll take a break from Skyrim until the construction comes out overhaul mods start appearing.

One thing for sure, I got more than my money’s worth.

Yes, I'm quite serious.

People like you aggravate me.
Now, why in the world, would you sell the game back.

It's always you people who have to announce to the world that you sold the game back.

Do you think we will feel bad for you?

Also, why are you on the Skyrim forums still?

Yup, still playing. Yesterday was the first day that Skyrim left my Xbox since, oh, Christmas morning, and that wsa only for a couple of hours of Rage, then right back in. Right now, I started FO:NV. So far, it's the only game in the FO series that I wasn't immediately bored with. If I get a whole playthrough, great, but it won't really be worth playing again.

350 plus hrs, still playing and I've only finished companions and mage's. 3 char's 43 ( glitched ), 35 and 20. I would guess I'm playing the game alot slower than most.... but heck I'm still playing! I couldn't count the number of games my husband has finished since I got this one!

Well I'm happy to be so slow...lol

Based on the demo, i beg to differ. Sure it's not at all like Skyrim, but i already have Skyrim, why would i want another? :P

I choose MW3 and Revelations over Skyrim, even though I've been playing TES series since Morrowind.. And now I regret it :( But I'm getting it next week yay!

The OP asked if people were still playing and I answered. To answer your first question, I sold Skyrim for two reasons one I was bored with it and the other being I needed some money at the time unfortunately I didn't get much for it. Why am I still here? Because I want to read some of the interesting stuff people post.
