Been playing for few hours - the PC keyscontrols are really

1. Already available with the installation files. 2. Not a problem once you start using the file from #1

If I have to edit an INI or a text file in the game files its not implemented in the game. ANY CHANGE IN THE GAME CODE that isnt from a menu in the game is MODDING. I am not a modder I am a game PLAYER. I should not have to edit an ini or text file to remap my keys. There should be a feature in the menu under the OPTIONS that allows me to do that.

@BioFringe 2. The point is this: the devs should have realized that they were making it extremely easy for the player to press the Alt+Tab key combo accidentally with the default keybindings. That's not good. They should have known better.

x2 I mean what idiot thought of that LOL

Seriously...it takes a couple minutes to open the file and change a couple 0s to 1s so that the options you want to display on the in-game menu are visable. Does your in-game keymap menu allow you to bind the hotkeys? Mine does and it took me 2 minutes to edit a couple of numbers. It's not brain surgery or modding...it's called tweaking and that's what PC Gamers should be used to doing for their own benefit. But hey, if you'd rather complain about it until Bethesda does it for you then by all means.

For those that are interested in possibly resolving a good chunk of your keybinding issues search some of my past posts on the boards for links to my personal setup as well as the offer for me to assist anyone that would like to send me a PM about their issues. Tell me what you want to accomplish and if it's possible I'll tell you how and possibly do it for you. Who knows, you might actally get to play the game in an enjoyable manner for a change.

Rocket Surgery!!!!11!1!! I have to say that I am no novice nor a pro at modifying .ini and .configs for games but normally I resort to it as a last ditch effort to fix a graphical bug or some flaw in the game like idk....WoW's whole UI(lol sorry had to do it blizzard). That said it isn't much to add more options to the options menu. I recall even when I was playing 16 bit consoles I was always excited to see what the options allowed in a game...even then some had impressive flexibility others don't.
Seems to always be the case along the line as time goes on.....I guess my thought as a consumer and a gamer is that why not add that small aspect for the people that feel the need for it? I mean it isn't very hard and tons of games add options later in patches for that reason because people ask for them. I tend to prefer programs that have a simple by default option setup and then the ability to open a more advanced one if one so feels the need.

The UI is unfortunate, but I'm getting used to it by now. The good thing is that it's one of the very few flaws of Skyrim. The game's art is so beautiful that all the rest can be forgiven.

i don't know why people realy like the scaleform ui. it is just bad compared to any reasonable standards. how many times have i clicked the wrong dialog option. and no, i am quite good with mouse and keyboard thanks to many many years of starcraft experience.

Oh and GG Mr. Jedi Knights .....to be clear a joystick is a stick that you move an xbox 360 controller has two of them. They are better for movement hands down...the only reason they aren't on gaming keyboards is the lack of a good angle and a brace so that it can be used. I used to run circles around people in PVP with higher APM playing a rogue on yes a 360 controller(thanks blizz for having a character that needs so few abilities to win) up to gladiator rank. Same for raiding strange how 24 people using a keyboard to move cant manage to avoid any of the area damage stuff....

I could see where a joypad would be helpful, but I can guarantee you that a good player will win hands down. There are way more keys available than there are buttons on a joystick and if you get someone that plays more than 2 hours a night they'll wipe the floor with a joypad player.

Nostromo.....way more keys than what? I have a zboard with like 30 buttons around the WASD cluster, the Nostromopretty much the same amount as the zboard but also has an anolog JOYSTICK, a 13 button logitech G700 mouse and a 360 controller. Do I have like six arms? No.....I prefer different setups for different games. A good player? Gladiator......as in top tier...yes WoW is a joke but I am not a bad player at any game. For instance in BF3 I use my zboard and mouse for everything except flying in which I pick up my 360 controller.....which is why I am not only a good player but an amazing one....get on my level.

Hehehe get on your level... I've been playing since FPS came out bud. The Nostromo isn't a gamepad, neither is the zboard. A keyboard and mouse combo will destroy a gamepad any day. Now whether the game was written for keyboard and mouse is another story. That's the only argument I was making. I could care less about your "accomplishments". The fact that someone's failed to read the manual to figure out that, "Yes you CAN hotkey" is really one part of the discussion at hand. Not whose [censored] is bigger.

A zboard is a keyboard with more buttons with anti ghosting....it is a keyboard with more buttons. The nostromo is a keypad joystick hybrid...albeit a bad one it has its uses. You are a fool sir...sniper doc been playing FPS since they came out...and you can play them for twenty more years and still be trash. Bottom line you are wrong wrong and wrong and if you come against me in the air in BF3 with your mouse keyboard we can see who ends up performing better.
