For those talking about hotkeys..that is not what I am talking about.
As a software developer -I know all too well to not overreact and prematurely judge a new interface. I have been playing for hours now... And I can tell you, a lot about this interface is so very, very wrong for a keyboard and mouse.
Nothing is intuitive. Some stuff requires hitting Y to confirm, other stuff requires Enter. It's random. Erratic. You will find yourself tapping a key and getting frustrated it doesn't d anything when in other almost IDENTICAL situations it does. And NO... You can't hotkey interface keys.... Only gameplay keys,
You have to drag your mouse across the screen to click yes, then all he way back again to proceed. Got a big monitor like me? Prepare to have to drag our mouse around for kilometres of screen space.....
You have to randomly switch between keys and mouse and back to other keys without au indication (or logic, or sense).
Navigating the perk trees is AWFUL. Honestly... If there is a diagonally higher perk you want to examine... It will take you about five times to accurately hit two keyboard keys to get there, it requires exact precision or otherwise jumps around randomly. It's very sloppy.
There are heaps of other issues.
And just to repeat..... I am not some [censored]. I am a smart, educated, balanced and considerate Bethesda fan who WORKS in software development. This interfaces a garbled, console-mess. There are basically zero PC optimisations and nothing works intelligently.
