Talk about false Advertising on Trailers, "Dead Island"... i was so excited to play that game, when it arrived it was boring... i just played half way through and totally got bored, had to wait for 2 weeks to start playing it again, and only because i am hardcoe Zombie fan.
Oh and someone mentioned the resolution of the textures were really good... YEAH RIGHT... Todd Howard said:
"it has higher textures"
i dont know how true is that since i dont own the Xbox360 version, but ohhh guess what? i seen Texture mods that increases 8 Times the resolution of the default ones and my old HD5770 with 1Gb does not even breaks a sweat... so yeeeeah... they are really good.
Let me show you couple pics, first screen Default "High" Resolution:

This one is a Modded "Medium" Resolution:

This one is a Modded "High" Resolution:

There was a even bigger Resolution pack that i havent had the time to download because its arround 800mb and i get lazy on my 1Mb DSL.
Now, we all agree the first screen could look twice as better than the second or third pic... when Bethesda says "it has higher textures" i wasent expecting they ported the game from consoles and tweak it on a Pentium4 with HT for an GeForce 7900GT.
*Todd Yeah it does, obviously the PC version looks better. It has higher textures, it can run much higher resolution and a lot more graphic features. We tend to show it on 360 so that it’s a good baseline for people to look at. So when they then see the PC version it’s going to go up. We’d rather do that than have people see the 360 later and it takes a step down. *

Where are the Improved Animations that Todd Howard keep talking about? Jumping feels akward and when Dual Wielding just look at your char Feet:
*Todd Howard Quote*
“3rd person, with the new animation system, is better than ever, and people really seem to enjoy playing in it, seeing their character,” he admitted. “But it’s primarily designed as a first person game. I see the 3rd person as an extra, and certain things like picking up objects, talking to people, whatever, are always harder in 3rd person. Some people on the team think the combat is better in 3rd person because they can see their surroundings better. Personally, I usually play 1st person unless I’m just running through the wilderness and want a different view.”
I also remember a video interview and he said that they ditch Speedtree and created their own, that the trees were vastly improved... but heck you seen the Trees in Oblivion how much they move back and forth on storms? havent seen that in Skyrim.
Still Skyrim is to date the BEST Damn RPG i have played EVER, but come on… this game perfoms Horrible (PC) and i am getting tired of the wacky feets when sheating my weapon or dual casting.
I been busting Todd Howard and all his false advertising Interviews in the Bethesda blog, so far they kinda dont liked being proven wrong because they been deleting my posts, only one made it through hahaha.
I love Bethesda i honestly i do, and i take Skyrim as the BEST DAMN RPG EVER and Game of the Year, but FALSE ADVERTISING IS FALSE ADVERTISING, plain and simple.
