Now that this thread has received a hundred responses let me remind you all that the OP was obviously joking. If he was a liberal pacifist he would have written something along with the YouTube link.

this is a problem in the US in general, violence ok, nudity nono. How great is immersion if EVERYONE has the same bikini in the game, and all the men are castrated, or worse.

We're a nation of Puritans on a bloody rampage. :gun: That's been known for generations.

I actually think they might want to fix them, because most of the time, they just are executed in x4 speed.

Yes like in Fallout where it's possible to sever all limbs. The gore! The glorious gore! Also, more nudity. I may sound crass but I read books like American Gods and Game Of Thrones. So it'd be nice to get that level of violence and nudity in my video games too. The Bible has more gore and nudity than TES for crying out loud.

The Bible has more advlt content than the vast majority of mass-media products. Parts of The Bible positively portray incistual [censored], slavery, stoning people to death, slaughtering every firstborn in an entire country and the genocide of almost everyone on the planet. I can't think of a Holy Book, or mythological canon which doesn't contain such content. Facts like that are why I appreciate the Sermons of Vivec and The Real Barenziah, because the concepts presented are exactly the kinds of concepts which have fascinated cultures throughout the ages.

That being said, nudity for nudity's sake and violence for violence's sake can completely desensitise people to the underlying issues but more than that, it can become really boring. I don't want to see a naked body every time I strip someone for their armour, it's distracting, and I'd like some of the violence in Skyrim to have a bit more of a point to it. The Witcher 2's six scene was softcoe porm and I've no interest in seeing that in a video game like Skyrim, which has other focuses. If walking in on two men having six, or stumbling over a naked woman's headless, bisected corpse led into a genuinely interesting and advlt story, then I wouldn't mind so much, but it would sure bump the rating to 18, rather than 15 here xD

I miss Baldur's Gate, when my geared out max level monk would punch someone in a tavern-- and that someone would literally explode into a thousand bloody giblets, the meat just bouncing along the floor. Ahhh nostalgia.

Bethesda, you might want to tone down the violence in the killing animations...

But..but, that would be like removing the cream from a chocolate eclair...sacrilege!

I'm not a fan of gore at all, but I found the killing blows to pretty much the best animation in the game. So yeah, I wouldn't want them to tone anything down in that regards.

Would I be up for an OPTIONAL Blood [on] [off] feature? Sure. To each their own if they want.

I think more gore would have complimented the game's atmosphere better. It has a very folk/black metal atmosphere.

Tone down the violence? If you don't want violence, you should play FIFA or something...
Personally, I find it very satisfieng when I take a bandits head off or when I skewer a falmer on my blade. It just feels much more rewarding to kill an enemy in the game that way.

I actually enjoy the gruesome animations, of course not against an innocent women. But boy did it look cool when that 21 inch blade was jammed straight into Ciceros esophagus.

Yeah especially when its an NPC like that it just looks soooo cool.

Good times my friend, good times. I actually did that with a sling once. A puny little sling! I remember this, cause I took screenshots and posted it on the Interplay forums. I somehow did 24 damage with a sling. Doesn't even come close to the 62 damage my Monk pounded out.

Anyways, back on topic. The level of gore doesn't bother me at all. I don't find it too high, and I don't think its too low. Do I want to see flying limbs or guts spilling out? No. Would I think it a little dull if there was no blood at all? Yes.

I would've love it if Skyrim had a system more like Soldier of Fortune. Just with swords instead of guns of course.

Now that is a good gore system!

A lot more than part one, that's for sure, but that was still bloody. Especially head and throat shots. And the MPG! That was a brutal weapon.

People that are for nudity are not asking for six scenes, hell, Id be happy if there was a variety of underwear, but the same golden bikini, seriously? Id rather have nudity than that sort of non sense. ANd I saw the withcer 2's six scene, there was an OPTION to do that, no one was forcing you to have six with the woman.

And to think, not long ago there was a thread about "theres not enough blood in this game."

I'm not one to complain really, but I did notice within the first few days of playing this game that there's literally no blood spatter or spray in any of the kill-cam brutal death animations. Doesn't stop me from enjoying it but I wouldn't mind a fountain of blood spurting from the neck of a bandit as I drive my sabre through his shoulder.

People think this is a serious thread.

This is the interwebz. everyone trolls, so you got to take everything a bit serious to make out what is indeed, not a troll.
Some people actually say these things and mean it, so...
But you should take stuff with a grain of salt.

I think the OP is a little squeamish. Try Dead islande then play Skyrim and rethink your post.Skyrim is pretty tame compared to most FPS as well, Halo reach for example has the same quick kills as Skyrim but they are called assassinations.

When I first played that game I remember just sitting there slashing at a dead guys head with a knife until it became nothing but a bloody stump and being amazed that I could actually do that. It was fun :P

Me too, but it is quite a bit better than the diapers we got in Morrowind :P
