You know what's even more stupid? Getting a ditto in Platinum.

Not only is it a 5% chance to find one, but you have to wait for a random daily event to even GET that 5% chance to find one.

Couldn't you just use that fancy GTS to trade for one?

Or that. GTS saved me hundreds of hours alright. And you can use Feebas like currency! Everybody wants Feebas!

Ditto + feebas = anything on the GTS you could possibly want.

Well when the first generation was designed they didn't have genders, but I have to agree with you. Seeing clearly masculine pokemon like that as females is kind of odd. They have some that are female or male only, why they didn't do the same for the Machop line is just weird.

How is it weird? Thy aren't human, so trying to draw that comparison is kind of wrong. They always look the same as male genders with slight variations. Plus, there have to be Machop babies. :D

It's weird because http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/8/8e/067Machoke.png is clearly a masculine pokemon with humanoid and reptilian features. It's like that girl teenage mutant ninja turtle they tried to make, adding girly eyelashes didn't make it any less weird.

think of it this way, imagine the bufferst person you know, now imagine them as a hermaphrodite...thats what i though, a hermaphrodite pokemon that likes to do body slam, odd...

what makes it worse is that i found a Jynx that had body slam...hmm...nothing sixual about that? of course i raise a PMC of pokemon that are all trained to kill. got me a level 100 Snorlax that can kill just about anything man..

It's not weird because they are not human. They are monsters!

But does http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_46Wzme2rSO8/SGbS02VRbaI/AAAAAAAAABc/9COmZSNvOC0/s320/gardevoir.gif look at all like it would be male?

This is why I think they should have made genders dependent on the species, with species that have a more neutral appearance able to have either gender.

Irrelevant.

No, that's pretty relevant. Like I said, there are some pokemon that are more human-like and some that are more animal-like. The more animal-like ones are more gender neutral, while the ones with human-like qualities tend to have their gender suggested. Why else would they make Frosslass female only, or Gallade male only?

I'd still be playing the latter if my Memory Card hadn't gotten corrupted.

I played Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for a while. It was pretty fun, but after you've been through each type of dungeon at least once it gets rather boring.

or spending 3 days going through one of the 99 floor dungeons only to not recruit the final boss of the dungeon.

I tried, but I really don't like dungeon crawlers much. Good concept though, a more action oriented Pokemon game could be really fun. 4 attacks mapped to 4 buttons, with the ability to control the movements of your pokemon would be pretty fun I think.

I want to, but I don't think I could find them anywhere to buy.

Am I the only one that didn't care for diamond and pearl? The new pokemon just seemed really childish and boring to me. I plan on getting my hands on a copy of emerald and playing through that for the 5th time!

I though Diamond/Pearl were great. Some of the new pokes were a bit wierd, but most were alright to me.

Same. Gold and Silver are still my favorite games, and Johto is probably my favorite region.
I have so many memories playing them when I was younger...they are awesome.
