Why should someone else play the game the way you want them to play.

Theres nothing wrong with using mods or haks with this game.. you kinda have to if you want to keep on playing and keep on having fun.

Instead of putting a stop on modding they should just release a toolset editor. For sure it will bring back alot of players to the game.

Borderlands timeline:

Release ----------- Oct 2009
Death ------------- Nov 2009
Toolset release -- Hopefully 2010
Revival of game - Whenever toolset is released

No, there is something wrong with it biomech. These hacked weapons are VERY often glitchy, and I've read far too many stories on the Gearbox forums where someone picked up a modded weapon and all of their items disappeared. It isn't harmless, not only does it ruin the fun of multiplayer, but it causes game breaking glitches.

Hey, I've been gone for a week. Have they announced a 3rd DLC yet?

Nope, and they haven't come out with a release date for the PC version of the 2nd DLC either, unfortunately.

I think that this is a solid game, though I can't bring myself to play it alone. When my cousin comes over (Which he does most days) we sometimes play it after NHL, and it's a blast. When I'm playing alone it just seems like a downgrade from Fallout.

Really? http://jeux-video.portail.free.fr/actualite/30-04-2009/borderlands-deboule-en-images/78743.jpg is nothing like http://www.rpgamer.com/games/fallout/fallout1/graphics/screens/fallout1.gif.

I don't understand why a lot of people compare Borderlands to Fallout(3).

I think he meant Fallout 3, and even then, they are nothing alike. Borderlands isn't even post apocalyptic, it's just covered in trash.

I know, I was just messing with him. I got the idea from someone else on this forum.

I seem to play this game alone most of the time. I find it annoying playing on most people's games because they don't do the missions I need/want to do.
I think this will be the only game that Ill do a second play through of. Even though it's generic, I just love the levelling and loot system. I want to try out a hunter.

I am on the last level with my level 36 soldier, support gunner. Hopefully I can power level him to 50 and then I'll do the Zombie island DLC.

Feel free to add me if you want to play on XBL. :)

So I got around to playing this game. svcked.

Okay, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I tried really hard to like it, but it never happened. I was forcing myself to play it in the hopes that it would eventually click with me, but it never did. I got to level 20, then called it quits.

I thought, well, it's designed for co op, so maybe I should try that.
Still didn't like it.

I don't even know what it is about the game that irks me, but I can understand how a lot of people could like it.

It's a good game, but it seems a bit... Dry... After you finish it. The world was never really fleshed out.

I never really found any good guns in my first play through. I can't be arsed with playing the same character again though.

I'm finally beginning to enjoy mordecai after 26 damn levels of my sniper missing for bulls*** reasons. Seriously It there was no excuse for the rifle missing. It had a 97.8 accuracy rating AND I had the passive buff that raised my accuracy by 30%, which woulda put me waaay over the 100% accuracy rating. Well I had the dot lined up perfectly dead center in a bandits face. It was literally on his nose. I shoot, and mind you his whole face is covering my scope screen, and the bullet hits an explosive barrel about 50 yards to his right. So I decided to respec into gunslinger, which makes me sad that the pistol buffs only work on the repeater for some reason, and it's sooo much better.

Have moded weapons always been this common? I've just started to notice them being in EVERY game i join, where it used to be(starting around mid-November) they were a pretty rare sight, only being in about 10% of the games I played(that I could tell).

Starting to really dislike playing this game online because of it. :c

It's because all of these modders are giving out modded weapons for whatever reason. I've heard stories of people running up to players, dropping thousands of weapons, and the players would pick them up, most of which were probably modded. It's ruining the multiplayer.

Pretty much, it's rare to find legitimate players on any platform now. No, modded weapons never were this common but it didn't take long for the roles to be reversed. I can't wait for gearbox to start doing something about this.

Strangely, I never noticed any modded items during my online playthroughs (not that I've done many). Is that issue common on GameSpy ?

Just wanted to mention that the new DLC is out today for the PS3, or it should be anyway. Still no world on the PC release.

They had to do something about the community's wavering interest in the game.

I wasn't talking about the cleavage, I was talking about how they released the PC version out of the blue, without coming out with a release date beforehand. How would people who don't go to Gearbox's forum know about the PC version coming out if they never saw a release date?
