Hmmm, maybe this secret armory will be Gearbox's way of saying sorry for
Spoiler
there being no loot-filled vault?

Or maybe another
Spoiler
giant squid will be hiding in there.
Oooooh.

So, been a while since any posts, but I thought I'd bring to your attention the latest patch (automatically updated via Steam):

Multiplayer connectivity has been improved; users should no longer be required to forward ports to host or join multiplayer games

Players who experienced distorted shadows or graphical glitches after update 1.0.1 should no longer experience these issues

The 3D Vision crosshair has been improved

Only took 'em 3 months too.

Oh thank God. I recently rehooked my computer up to my router so my Xbox could go online. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to play Borderlands online (if I happen to get back to it) because I just couldn't get the right ports forwarded.

And the next DLC looks promising. I might pick it up and get reinterested in Borderlands. Hopefully that giant looking robot guy won't do the same thing as
Spoiler
the squid and stand in front of where you want to go

Got this recently (Last week, Tuesday maybe) and I was fairly disappointed with the lack of insanely big bosses. There's like, 3? And none of them are particularly difficult (maybe they are on the 2nd time around). Hell Bone-head is pretty much the only enemy I fear (when I have to do the quest).
Spoiler
Mothrakk
took some beating at first as well, but only because I was like 5 levels lower than him

I enjoy it though, just wish it was longer and had bigger bosses. I completed it just over a day (Fully - All quests), going through my 2nd playthrough to reach level 40 and 50 and I'm going to get the DLCs when I get a new debit card. Hopefully they'll be worth it.

The game is glitchy as hell though. I joined one of my friends games and within about 20 seconds he'd given me a shield that when I clicked it in my inventory it gave me +31095(guess, number is around that) money and an increase to my shield (not sure how much per click), so my level 2 character couldn't be killed in the Dahl Headlands on the second playthough (I think my shield once I'd got up to "$9999999" was around the 550,000 mark.)* He's also got a bunch of weapons that some level 50 duplicated for him, jus' cos. One of them kills everything at his level in one shot. And the other kills everything. Ever. It's a shotgun that fires rockets, 5000x10 damage per shot.

Oh it's got a +1000% burst rate on it. So he just rains hell on everything.

It's rather ridiculous to be honest.

*Note: I didn't glitch on my main save (Siren - level 37), it was a secondary save - it takes all the fun out of the game glitching.

Yeah, when I played I was lucky enough not to run into that. I just think that there can't be any fun making a gun more powerful than anything you can find ingame. Kinda takes the fun/challenge out of the game.

Haven't played Borderlands in forever. I still have to finish Mad Moxxi's Underdome but its so boring alone. I did Hellburbia though in single player. I also wantt o test out hostign since it claims I won't need to forward ports so if any PC users want to try for a game tomorrow let me know. I can even setup Ventrilo to make things easier, I know the game has voice chat but its nice to use something else I think.

If you've finished all of the side quests, there really isn't anything left to do but hunt for better guns. And when you're bored of that, start the second playthrough.

Hmm.... that's a very unsatisfying ending.

Steele is just too cute and adorable looking to sound that

Start modding the game. Make your own weapons and/or maps and/or skins

Are there any good unique revolvers in this game? Like Sledge's shotgun, except with revolvers?

Atlas Chimera it has a chance to do either fire, lightning, or acid damage.

Me too. Instead, I'm stuck with a light orange Tediore that has infinite ammo, with the badass name of 'Primal Law.' With the gunslinger perk it's a beast. Only problem is I've had it from level 19. It's served me well all this time, but I'm gonna need a bigger gun now that I'm level 27.

Sure, it gets boring, but modding in guns takes all the fun out of it.

No doubt.
