If it comes with a game editor, I'd be down to pay.

Huh, so a new "big" DLC. Well, if they release the DLCs in stores, I may pick them up, so long as they don't screw over PC gamers.

Oh wait, that's just money.

Also does anybody else have trouble beating the arenas (first underdome quest) on singleplayer?

If you play PC and can host I will join you. I did the city one (whatever it was called) and I was bored doing it on my own in single player. I used Mordecai and didn't have any trouble.

They better add some more skills for the increased level cap, half of the skills on the characters aren't even worth taking.

Indeed. I think raising the level cap without adding new skills would just kind of break the game. You wouldn't have to pick and choose between skills to find a good setup as you'd just be able to have everything.

I've got a question for you guys, level 36, just hit level 37, starting my second playthrough. When I leveled up, I did not get a point to put in to my skill tree. Is that normal? I thought the level cap was 40ish... It also seems that I must concentrate on only one skill tree, with a smattering of others. I want to add more points to the Trespass Skill, and having only one point in there, seems like a let down. If I reorganize my points, can I pick later levels in the tree, and delete some things that are earlier in the tree? For example, can I get rid of the points in Smirk, and add them to Trespass, or would that not be allowed, as putting points in that level of the tree opens up the later levels in the tree?

Why would it possibly be free? If you spent time, effort and money on something, would you give it away for free? Didn't think so.

I was going to wait to buy the DLCs in a bundle package eventually if they set it up that way, but at the rate they're putting out DLCs, I doubt that'll ever happen.

Kinda excited to hear what the new DLC will bring.

You have to have 5 points in each level of the tree to open up the next level. The cap is level 50.

That's my plan. I'd like to get the DLC (Zombie Island in particular) but I don't want to spend 800ms points on them each. Hopefully they'll bundle a bunch of them together at a reduced cost at some stage.

You should have definitely gotten a skill point. As for skill trees, it's possible to max out two different trees as long as you only take one skill from each tier of the tree. You should just put points into the trees that will benefit you immediately, and when you reach level 50 you can reorganize them and max out things like Trespass if you like. But no, you can't have points in Trespass, or any top-tier skill without having at least five points in at least one skill in each of the tiers below it.

Well there is a retail pack of the first two coming out

The new patch they're working on is pretty much anti game editor. So no, no game editor.

I don't have a ps3 so no luck.
Anyway, according to one of the dev's working on the next dlc, we can expect to see a lot more scooter.

Got any tips for Lilith on the Underdome then? Also should I be 40 + or can I be around 30 to do the underdome?

Haven't played much of lilith. But daze and mind games are your best friends there. Those combined with using phaze walk to run away make lilith a beast in the arena.

If I have a class mod that gives a +2 bonus to a certain skill, and I already have that skill maxed out to 5, will the class mod make the skill a 7, or does it cap at 5? It still says 5 when I have it equipped, but if I respec and make the skill a 3, it doesn't show that the class mod added anything.

Yes, it's added even if you have 5 points in the skill already. As a side note, if you don't have any points in a certain skill, and you use a class mod for that skill, you wont get any points for it.

How do I make sure that Steam does not update my Borderlands game with this anti game editor patch?

You need to set your Borderlands to not update itself automatically

I hope I get my laptop back from repair shop soon before update comes out

Also, should I try and save a current backup of borderlands to reinstall in case of the update? If I install an older version that is a backup will it update automatically?

I diddnt know about the map editing that people worked to get

BTW I'm only like 25 with my Lilith character, but I could also use my Mordecai (43 or something).

The new DLC has a name and description:

http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/28/next-borderlands-dlc-the-secret-armory-of-general-knoxx-annou/

Hmmm, maybe this secret armory will be Gearbox's way of saying sorry for
Spoiler
there being no loot-filled vault?
