BOSS Userlist Manager

Download from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39215, http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=311, http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17026 and http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=44745. The files are the same for all sites.

What does it do?

The BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM) helps you manage your mod load order for Skyrim, Oblivion, Nehrim, Fallout3 and FalloutNV. It uses BOSS Userlist rules to customise the order in which mods should be loaded and allows you to specify the load order for unknown mods without editing the BOSS Masterlist. BUM is designed to work with the brilliant BOSS utility. These are the key features...

  • Provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for managing your Userlist
  • Automatically adds entries for any unknown mods
  • Tells you when unknown mods defined in your Userlist have been added to the Masterlist and asks whether you want to remove the definition or change it to override the one that has been added to the Masterlist
  • Allows you to define load order placement for mods that are not installed without generating BOSS error messages
  • Allows you to define Userlist categories that help organise your definitions into logical groupings
  • Tells you when your Userlist rule contains any omissions or errors – saves waiting until you run BOSS to find out
  • Automatically generates the Rules with placement and Bash Tags for any unrecognised Sensual Walks mods
  • Provides an easy way to capture Dirty mod information for reporting on the BOSS forum
  • Provides an easy way to post your unrecognised mods on the BOSS forum.

Required

Microsoft . NET Framework 4 (automatically installed by the setup if not already on your system)

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6
- BUM is of no use unless you are using BOSS to help with your Load Order
- For Skyrim you need BOSS v1.9
- For Oblivion, Nehrim, Fallout3 and FalloutNV you need BOSS v1.6 or higher

Never noticed that the theme could be changed :)

When I get some time I will see what works for multiple themes.

Thanks for letting me know

Call for BOSS Userlist Manager Version 6.1 Beta 1 testers

I have uploaded a Beta version under Miscellaneous and would very much appreciate your help in ensuring that it is working as intended. In addition, anyone who has been experiencing hangs, should download this version and enable Debug mode which will help provide additional information to help track down the cause.

Changes introduced...
  • Debug mode introduced to help track down hang problem (see ReadMe for instructions on usage)
  • Evaluation of Masterlist REGEX commands changed to return the same results as BOSS
  • The list of Masterlist entries now includes items that have been matched to REGEX statements.
This allows OVERRIDE and FOR rules to be created for Plugins specified by the REGEX statements.
  • You can use conditional Plugin definitions (IF/IFNOT MOD:) as the Sort Object and create OVERRIDE or FOR rules

Was checking this out and had one question. Is it possible to override the masterlist setting with BUM? For example, I have 90 unrecognized plug-ins, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out which one keeps reverting Better Sorting back to normal spell casts. I've moved all the spell mods above BS, but the spells are still reverted back to their original name (e.g., Frostbite instead of Freezing Hands). So as such, I've just been loading BS last; however, every time I run Boss when changing mods and such, it keeps increasing BS load above everything else.

What I'm looking for is a way to "override" BS so that it loads last regardless of what the masterlist says. Is this possible with BUM? If so, how?

Hope that made sense, LOL!

Nevermind, figured out BOSS allows this through the User rules list, my bad...

Also this topic is for the BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM) and not BOSS. YOu may want to try it out - makes managing your Userlist easier :)

My original question was about BUM, not BOSS, but realized it actually was something BOSS did, not BUM...hence why I struck it out...

Apologies for misunderstanding, but why would you use BUM if you were not using it create your own Rules (which BOSS processes) - BUM of course gives you the option of creating the Overide rule which is designed to achieve what you are after.

I am probably being stupid and missing something obvious :)

I just downloaded it and installed it. It is looking for BOSS in my skyrim folder instead of my C drive. Steam is on my D drive, so why is it looking in the wrong place for the current BOSS install? BOSS is on my C drive.

And since installing this BOSS 2.1 no longer recognizes my Skyrim install. And I even uninstalled this.

Glad to hear you got it resolved.

Probably needed to launch Skyrim so that the registry entry gets repaired. This then allows BOSS and BUM to detect the location.

Of course, BUM allows you to specify locations through the Settings dialogue - as you probably discovered.
