Can someone "sound" attractive?

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 7:28 am

Hey guys!

Yes, a rather frivolous topic, I know, but I was having a conversation with a friend and we seem to disagree on a point. Basically, can someone "sound" attractive to you? Like, could someone sound "hot" or "cute" or "sixy"? When I say sound, I mean in speech of course. Well, what do you guys think?

Edit: Moreover, can the words "hot", "sixy" or "cute" be applied to a voice?

Two examples of "yes":

Grey DeLisle

Laura Bailey

I'm sure more examples could be given, and some from other gender perspectives as well ;)

Can you think of Morgan Freeman's voice and not be attracted to it somehow?

Yes, for sure. I remember with my first boyfriend we hadn't seen eachother or met in person but with his Quebecois french accent he sounded insanely sixy and I was immediately attracted... accents in general are pretty much one of my biggest turnons.. I love French (mainly Quebecois), British and Eastern European the most. I also love Adrienne Barbeau's voice (Catwoman from BTAS).. and the guy who voices Alucard in Hellsing (Crispin Freeman). WOW his voice is so freaking hot!

I meant more along the lines of the classy British accents like the new Lara Croft, not the regional ones like Essix or, god forbid, Liverpool. :yuck:

Absolutely. The "classic" version of a sixy woman's voice is the breathy voice that comes from the chest.
