Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:56 am

ill be playin thru first time with resistance just to get the trophy that u know they are gonna have for it...and to see that side of the story lol

but after that im stickin with security...so the answer to ur first question is Security, the answer to ur second is my primary is gonna be operative(only because ive always played as the operative type character), but need be ill swith to soldier or engineer, i was never good with medic, body type will be light...for all class types, i hate going slow when i have the option of going oh so fast

I would suggest making at least 3 characters - 1 for each body type. I will probably be making much more, depending on what the limit is, and don't worry about being poor at Medic - that's where I come in :)

Unless of course your on the ground next to his lifeless body..no but seriously a good medic is always needed. One of my buddies plays medic almost strictly ever time he plays, you can tell when hes on the field.

Medic>Engie>Soldier>Canned worms>Operatives
I'm sort of a naturally rebel it seems when it comes to what classes I like. I will probably start out mainly playing soldier just to make it easier to waste all the operatives running around. I'm kind of sad to hear that there will be friendly fire so we can't spy check, it didn't make playing a spy terrible in TF2 (although it did give the class a steeper learning curve after the game was out for a while). I think operatives might be a bit over powered without spy checking, thought he ability for operatives to see enemy operatives might blance it out.

I'd probably like to try out a heavy Engineer with a shotgun - the defensive wall as it were.

The beauty of this is that the shotgun can be your secondary weapon if you're heavy. You can do this and still carry a grenade launcher or heavy machine gun.

Engineer most of them time with the occasional switch to Operative. (Although when the game comes out I'm most likely gonna switch those two around and be an Operative most of the time.)

FF is optional - you can ply with it on or off.

I think operatives might be a bit over powered without spy checking,

Operatives have to take disguises off of enemies, they don't get a 'cigarette case full of uniforms,' like TF2 - and they cannot change disguise if they are in an enemy players field of view. Also, firing their weapon will cancel the disguise.

Seriously? Can someone confirm this? Because if this is true, this game just became a lot more unbalanced.

Its just common sense that everyone should be restricted to a primary weapon, and a pistol, nothing else.

I dunno, depending on how slow heavies are i think it will be balanced. From what i looks like the machine guns are rather big, slow and cumbersome, so a gun that can deal with close quarters threats would be nice. Plus I think the shotgun would replace your pistol but do not quote me on it.

I doubt it will be unbalanced... you saw how slowly the Security officer with the heavy machine gun in the trailer moved.

It doesn't matter either way, as long as you can have multiple primary weapons the problem is still there. That close quarters comment is exactly the reason why there should not be primaries as secondaries, if you pick an LMG you should have to work with that drawback, and not have the ability to negate it by having a second primary.

Maybe you should come up with a strategy to deal with someone using their muscles and dual primaries to make up for their lack of mobility. Just like a light has to be resourceful and deal with not being able to wield the heavy weapons.

Well, you can quote me if you want.

Light - Primary: light weapons | Secondary: sidearms
Medium - Primary: medium weapons | Secondary: light weapons, & sidearms
Heavy - Primary: heavy weapons | Secondary: medium weapons, light weapons, & sidearms
