And then you get destroyed by the experts who play light..

Well if it came down to a team of heavy's playing a team of lights(At the same skill level) then the heavy's have the upper hand. So i think we would have to set a body size limit. So that why we mix it up so that they cannot stack heavy's. If i was running at team of 5v5 where we had to have 2 heavy's, 2 mediums and 1 light i think it would have to be 1 medic heavy, 1 solider heavy, 1 solider medium, 1 engineer medium and 1 light operative. For the main build, but of course it would change accordingly.

Explain.
The fact is that the heavy's have more health and more firepower. The lights can run faster but whats that going to do when the heavy's all push at once, they cannot hold them back.

Wow, and who ever said heavies'd be overpowered? Have you played the game yet? The only demos we've seen had mediums only, so I'm really curious how you came to that conclusion... :\

My understanding was that heavies were heavily (eh) limited in terms of mobility. For example, in the 'container City' video, the heavies would NOT be able to go by the side route on the right and have to go trough the 'main' doorway. A lights-heavy team would simply have to slow the heavy team enough for it to be unable to reach the crane and repair it in time, for example, for it to win (which, considering the detours it seems would be necessary for a heavy to reach the crane, wouldn't be all that difficult)... (Of course, that is if its Security playing as Heavy-only)

Yeah you are right. But in some places having more health will make a huge difference. That's why I'm saying that i believe they should cap it. Also mate I've not come to the conclusion that they are over power but in a fight with a heavy and a light the heavy's has the upper hand.

These are just ideas, I'll haply take proper criticism.

So an expert Heavy player is no match for an expert Light player? News to me...

No we was implying that average heavies would destroy noob lights. Experts heavy vs light battle depend on too many variables. Actually all this is speculation I just want the game out already. It comes down to the player not the body type or class.

there are pros and cons of all body-types none are "better" than the other, where Heavy would be a direct fire body type, where lights (whos "upperhand" as you said) would be mobility, so why would they ever need to tank damage in direct fire? Body types shouldn't have a restriction because it's supposed to be a balanced mechanic and a 6 heavy team would just be a strategy, yet to be seen that it would ever be over powered.

Actually it comes down to:
Player
Weapon
Attachments
Play style
Body type
Class
Abilities
Terrain
Teamates
and so on.

I wouldn't restrict the archetype to medium only , certainly not ! It would get boring pretty fast !

A team of heavies that do have more health and firepower might get more kills , but don't forget that they have a slower movement speed and thus they won't be able to set really fast times. A team of lights might be fast but in open spaces they'll need a lot of teamwork and crossfire to get through a line of defence !

Conclusion : you'll need to find a BALANCE between both worlds :)

It's all in the compendium. Some have played demos at certain events, others have experience with previous SD games and have a better vision on how the game flow will be.
