I accidentally threw that out about a year ago. Besides, despite the limited gaming options, I'm glad about having made the switch, for my computer runs faster with Ubuntu than it ever did with Win7.
Also, I was thinking about buying the Skyrim disks and trying some solutions PlayOnLinux users have come up with, but I don't know whether that would impede installation of future updates/DLC.
I used Linux for years (Mepis was my favorite distro) so I know where you are coming from. I guess I've been out of the loop for awhile because I've never heard on PlayOnLinux. I always used Wine to run Win applications on Linux. I'm sure the same problem is true for PlayOnLinux as it was for Wine: OS emulation is a very greedy resource hog.
If you check Newegg periodically, you'll find Win 7 Home Premium on sale for $79.99. Since hard drives have become so cheap, you could be rocking a dual boot rig for around 100 clams. I actually preferred dual booting with a second drive rather than a partition and skipping the grub or lilo configuration problems.
