well xbox and playstation arent consoles, they're computers

I wish I had a pc to run this but Ill be using my 360, the superior console.

PC. I can mod it, so if I don't like X feature I can change it, and this is a Gamebryo powered title so the developer's console is going to come in VERY handy for resolving quests when their scripts wig out. Or reviving x NPC that died before his time of an odd glitch. Or removing a quest item that I can't get rid of due to a bugged script. Or just trying to give myself the currency the trade window was supposed to give me but failed to.

The PS3 and XBox360 are platforms too, so no, it wouldn't have been hard at all. Just substitute the word "platform" for "console" and you're golden.

Oh and my PC is about 5 years old, Athon64 4200+ CPU with 3GB RAM and an nVidia GeForce 9600 video card with 768MB VRAM. If it weren't for issues between WIndows 7 and Fallout 3, the game would run flawlessly at max settings and 1920x1080 resolution.

You can get a PC better than mine for cheap nowadays.

PC all the way. Better graphics, mods, more comfortable (to me, I realize everyone's got their own preferences) control layout.

PC. I can't fathom buying a title that has a construction set on any other platform. Mods are the main reason, but graphics factor in slightly. Also, for any game with first person shooting, a mouse and keyboard combo is my preferred control method.

This is actually pretty civil. No trashing here just opinions.

I'm going to be playing on PS3. I would play on PC but my laptop won't run it so I'll have to go with that. However I do prefer a pad to play games with

PC for several reasons. Plus I don't think I can ever go back to using a controller. Keyboard and mouse are all I ever want to use.

PS3 since i've been using Sony's systems ever since the first PS came out so i'm just more used to the set up of the PS3 controller, that and my 360 is a peice of garbage that won't read a disc if it has so much as a microscopic imperfection on it, and it just takes way to much time and know how to get a game to work perfectly on the PC and i just don't have that kind of pateince.

First playthroughs on the Xbox360. When some decent mods available, replay the Goty version on the pc.

Xbox 360. Why? One reason. Because I have one.
However I am becoming ever more tempted to buy a gaming comp and maybe even start modding too.... so so tempted, but so so poor. I think I need to start saving.

That was true 7+ years ago. Now, In the vast majority of cases:

Buy game ---> insert disc ---> click 'Next' through the install wizard ---> play game

Usually takes 5-10 minutes. I haven't had to wrestle with a PC game in years.

That may be true on most games, but i recently installed F3 Goty over Steam, even though my computer had better specs than my xbox it was often a slideshow, especially during battles. After trying a lot of unofficial patches and tweaks the only thing really helped was to revert back to a graphiccard driver (Nvidia) from early 2009. What a joke (for a game which is only two years old). Fiddiling 2-3 hours to get one game working isnt my cup of tea anymore.....

My preference in game platforms really depends on the type of game that I'm playing. Some games I feel most comfortable playing with a console controller, while other games I like to play using a keyboard and mouse, it just depends on the type of game. Then of course there's the possibility of a game not getting a PC port, or getting a port that's poorly done, all things considered, I don't like to limit myself to just one platform. For New Vegas, though, I intend to go with PC. Not only is this an RPG with a first person control interface, thus giving it elements of two genres both of which I prefer to play on a PC if possible, the PC version will also have access to mods, which has been an important factor to me in Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3, which I expect to remain true in New Vegas as well.

I choose the 360 for both. I would rather use the PC but for the last 8 years or so, I am so use to the 360 that I choose that. The reason why I am use to the 360? Because my PC usually can't play the games. I only bought an xbox to play Morrowind. I bought a 360 to play Oblivion. I am hoping TES V will come out soon so I don't have to buy the next xbox version to play it.

I can't keep my computer up to date just to play games all the time. Better for me to buy a console every 5 or so years than trying to upgrade my computer every 6 months.

I haven't upgraded mine in 3 years :shrug:

PC for obvious reasons.

I'll be getting it for the PC, I own a PS3 but have never been a big fan of FO3 on console.
