PC or Console : Fallout: New Vegas

Well, what version are you picking up?

I played the PS3 version of Fallout 3, and I liked it, and I wayy prefer to use a gamepad then the keyboard/mouse.

I'm really nervous about the game bombing on me like Fallout 3 did but If they managed to stabilize the game then I want to get a PS3 copy. I'm not sure which route to go, though.

(Yes, I'm sure my computer can run it.)

Boot camping my MBP to try to run it would be disaster

I've had very few FO3 probs on my ps3 (excluding getting YLOD and losing over 150 hours of gameplay files)

but over all my PS3 and FO3 are good buddies

should be same with FONV

and a regular copy from walmart (I WANTZ STURDY SHOTGUN)

Im keepin that gift card and the pre order code, as long as i dont open the game i can get my 60 bucks bak :hubbahubba:

Well if you really want to use a gamepad use a Xbox controller for the PC it may take a while to learn but it is far more simplistic than using a keyboard and mouse.

Actually you need to go to steam for the shotgun. Walmart has the grenade launcher and metal armor.

PS3 , my comp probably can't handle it and I'm not about to by an Xbox, plus I prefer the PS3 controller...

PC and Box copy, I love playing on PC in fact I just upgraded my PC just to play this game and a few others. You can do so much more like modding etc. And I never buy off steam having a retail box is more satisfying.

I'll get a PC copy once I order all the parts for the PC I'm building (I'm waiting to see if prices go down on newegg for Black Friday).

But I'll be getting the CE for the xbox 360. So by the time I order my PC there should be a couple of mods.

I have a 360 and a PS3, but I'll be playing on the Xbox. It seems that Fallout 3 runs way smoother on the 360, so I'm guessing it'll be the same this time. I dunno. I might just wait and see what others say from comparisons.

Though, if I had a semi-decent gaming PC, I'd play on that -- those mods are delicious... I envy PC gamers. :sadvaultboy:

i actually just got done pre-ordering a box copy off of Amazon. not the CE, that's a bit too expensive for my tastes (especially after having accidentally purchased the QuakeCon 2010 pack on Steam even though i own retail copies of pretty much everything of note in it). PC, naturally~

Fallout 3 doesn't really need a GAMING PC to run it - anything with a decent videocard should do fine, just don't turn on AA. i've got it maxed out with slight graphics updates and 2xAA on my laptop and it runs very smoothly. i highly doubt New Vegas will be much more intensive.

PC by far. Half the appeal, to me anyways, of a Fallout game is being able to mod it until it forgets it's name and only one system allows that.

See I had FO3 on both Xbox360 and PC.
Mainly because I wanted to mod it, and other things after a year and a bit. But at first I wasn't sure whether my laptop would run it or not.

Although now I have FO3 running on High specs on my laptop Im going to buy it for PC. And I'll probably just buy the box copy...

I'll be getting this game for xbox 360 ( is it me or do they seem to show most of the demos of the game on xbox 360 )?
But....if i had the money,i would buy a good PC & buy the game for that.
Also you can use a normal keyboard on 360,why don't they make a mouse too....i think you can be more accurate with a mouse & keyboard.

even though im prolly gonna regret having to buy 2 copies im going to get the CE for PS3 then after i get my PC the way i want it set up im going to get it for that. i mostly want it for PC cause of the mods but i know its gonna be a while befor i can fully enjoy it so im going to get the PS3 version first and play that until im bored or get my PC upgraded.

EDIT: if PS3 gets the most rated mods i would be so happy cause i wouldnt have to buy both

I now own a powerful PC but I prefer to play these types of games on a console.
Shame about all the bugs on fallout 3. I have owned all generations of the playstation and never had a game crash once let alone the amount of times F3 crashed on me.

i have and NVIDIA 9600 will that run it?
