1- Extract the archive to your "Skyrim/Data" folder.

Mod Description
----------------------------------------------------------------
This mod is the beginning of what will be a crafting overhaul modification. As well as changing the weapons in leveled-lists.
I plan to make the crafting materials and equipment designs independent of each-other.
Not all Orcish swords are made of orichalcum and not all orichalcum swords are made in Orcish style.
I have not yet decided how I will implement these changes, but I have started by changing all of the game's basic long-swords to use a similar model with different textures implicating their material make-up instead of racial style.
For instance an Ebony longsword isn't a goofy fantasy sword, it's a longsword made of ebony.

Materials and styles will each and exclusively affect a weapon's overall capabilities.

Ebony is now a smooth, glossy black material.
Malachite is smooth and less chunky.
Daedra Heart red is darker, with more veins.
Gemstones are all new.

Swords of Tamriel: 0.80
-Restructured all of my my meshes & textures.
The different weapon styles, since their normal/environment maps are all the same anyway will all point to the same textures instead of pointing to a different texture for each material. Therefor I deleted all of the duplicate normal/environment maps. That cut back the mod's overall filesize by about 2/3rds.
-This should be the last sword-only replacer version.
-This replacer is more basic/realistic than the older "Swords of Tamriel" versions. This replaces all one-handed and two-handed sword meshes and textures with my own basic sword & basic claymore meshes textures.


Swords of Tamriel: 0.70
-Brightened Texture of all Altmeri Great-leafblade style sword textures, to make them in-line with Altmeri Leaf-blade textures.
-Major file-size reduction.
-Redone Imperial Broadsword textures.

Swords of Tamriel: 0.60
-New Glass Style.
Glass Greatsword > My Glass Altmeri Great-leaf-blade
Glass Sword > My Glass Altmeri Leaf-blade
Ebony Sword > My Ebony Breton-sword
Ebony Greatsword > My Ebony Breton-greatsword

Swords of Tamriel: 0.50
-Snuck in a new Ebony Material Texture. ;)
-Redone Daedric weapon textures. Much less red going on.
-Two-handed swords also now replaced!
-Swords are essentially complete. Now to start the next weapon type!

Swords of Tamriel: 0.40
-Tweaked most textures. A Few have been redone from scratch.
-Mesh replaces most swords in-game with my new meshes/textures.
-No new weapons now. All replacers at this point.
-Based on user feedback this version is much more subdued than 0.30. The weapons should blend in with the world much better.
-As Always, please give me your feedback, suggestions, ideas!

Swords of Tamriel: 0.30
-Reworked all of my textures based on user feedback. Cut filesize in half.

Swords of Tamriel: 0.20
-Replaces all sword meshes and textures with new material and style based meshes.

0.11
-Added Daedric Longsword replacer.
-Fixed lighting bug on world meshes on all meshes.

0.10
-Replaces all longsword meshes with a common longsword mesh, though each different material will be represented by the texture.

With this version I aimed for a balance between weapon variety & sticking to realistic models without using the same one for all of them! Enjoy & Merry Christmas!

My next step will be catching-up with the Ancient Nord Style Axes & Swords and then I will do Daggers, I think they will be renamed "Short-swords" in my plug-in when it's released.

I'm starting to see the appeal of this.

Let me ask - are there plans to expand beyond just new weapon models/weapon makes?

Things I'm wandering about include
-crafting armor?
-Stripping armor and weapons for materials (like get half the material you would for making it if you strip an item).
-Other enhancements like sharpening arrows, increasing/decreasing buffs to armor and weapons.
-Combining materials to make unique sets - maybe based on plans one could find (maybe an expansion down the road).

One thing I think is missing from this game that may be easy to add, but might require perks be added - is hunting and crafting. yes pelts can become armor, What of bone and teeth as weapons? In the Gothic games there was a skill set for rending from animals. Like if your skill was not sufficient then when you down an animal all you might get is a pelt. With higher skill/perks you could then get food items, or teeth & bones for more crafting .. or ingredients like organs and brains for ingredients.

Kinda far afield of this mod, but thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Did your computer achieve sentience via lightning bolt (a la Short Circuit) or skynet style? If not I really think you need to change it to "destroy"

Also I was just looking at a screenshot of ebony armor and got chills thinking about how nice it will be to make any armor (heavy or light) out of any material.

I officially hate myself. In the process of waiting for 0.3.0 to upload I came up with a new glass texture. Now i have to re-do all of my glass weapons and then I will move on to daggers!

Before I continue, or kill myself, I need to know that this new glass texture is perfect. I went for a balance between Skyrim's malachite and Morrowind's glass. It's meant to appear like a polished, layered, marble-like metal.
