I always feel as if I'm being watched. Then, one day, a message popped up saying "Your killing has been observed by forces unknown." :P

Probably a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_moth.

I thought, "yeah, it's probably just a giant moth," and was okay with that untill I realized it was in the room with me and NOT on the other side of the window!

I was working out and I was taking a break talking to my bro, when some random guy in a sleeveless mesh shirt(srsly?) and a red bandana started smelling my face.

Well that was the only plausible explanation for the close proximity of his face. He looks directly in my eye and says, "You're about a five". He let the moment hang in the air so it could drench us all with its awkward juices before he adjusted the machine I was next to to level 5 and did a set saying "See?" between reps.

That is what came to mind. Total creeper.

One night when I had come back from Iraq, me and some friends got together at my place and had a few beers and drinks. After a few hours, they all left and I went to bed. A few hours later, in the middle of the night, I woke up and heard some noises, and some crashes of bottles (Yeah, we made some beer bottle pyramids). Now I'd just gotten back from Iraq, and had seen some serious [censored], and was still getting over some of it. So I slowly got up, and was on full defensive alert so to speak, my muscles were tense, and I was starting to think that it was an insurgent rummaging around. I grabbed a bat that I always have next to my bed stand, as I don't live in one of LAs nicest neighborhoods, so it's like my closest security besides my pistol that's in my closet. Anyway, I slowly made my way through the hallway, and in my living room there was a dark silhouette there. I was hungover, tired, and couldn't see straight. So, with full force I came at the silhouette and hit it twice over the back.

I turned on the lights to see the person, and it was my [censored] friend Derrick looking for his wallet, and still had my house key I'd lent him to look after my place while I was gone over in Iraq. I couldn't drive because of my situation, but he drove himself to the hospital to get checked out. Guess he came out of it fine, but nowadays, my friends know not to come over without knocking on the door or calling first. It was pretty creepy thinking that it was some insurgent, come to get me in my own home for doing something that should only be spoken between soldiers with combat experience.

If there was a machine that could show you my dreams. You'd think that little act was nothing. Dreams with PTSD are not fun. Specially when it involves up to 90% of most dreams being PTSD related.

I had a hallucination 2 weeks ago.

I was dreaming and for some reason I spit on my pillow. I realised I actually spit on my bed, and not in a bucket as in my dream, so I got up quickly and wiped it with a tissue. I got out of my room and I found my step dad in the middle of the stairs, kneeling down to the wall. I asked what he was doing, and he just stared at me. Then I asked again and I heard him say "I'm coming" [edit: my real step dad said that, when he was coming out of his room. Because reading this sentence again without clarifying this could give it a different meaning.). For a moment, in his kneeling position...I thought he was doing something so I suddenly started walking. My real stepdad came out of the opposite room and this guy in the middle of the stairs started disappearing. Kind of like 'blinds horizontal' on windows power point. And I explained to my stepdad that I had just hallucinated.

Second time this year that I hallucinated when I got out of bed quickly. I don't know the reason why.

What's even weirder is that there are some dry stains where the apparition was, on the wall.

This thread really is creepy.

Another wierd thing that used to happen to me is I think I used to randomly faint, but I could never be sure. I just sat there feeling like I'd been out for a few minutes.

In 1982, I went to Greece for the first time with a group of 5 friends. And for the first time, I was camping without tent, in the forest or on the beach.
After the classic tour in the Cyclades (Paros, Delos, Mykonos, Naxos...), our group had a clash and we splitted in 4.
I was alone and decided to go to a place less touristic, in the Sporades, an island called Alonissos.

Alonissos is very hilly, covered with pine forest and small coves of sand or pebble beaches. It's a lovely place, very wild, very beautiful waters. I left the main town of Patitiri and headed for a small village called Votsi, just 4-5 km ahead. Late in the evening, I arrived in Votsi and the villagers advised me to camp near a small beach called Spartines. I trekked there. There was already 3-4 tents, so I climbed the cliff and found an old bronze age fortress, big stones on the cliff top. It was a beautiful place, viewing on the sunset and sunrise. So I lay down my sleeping bag, on top of the pine needles, in the forest...
Slept like a baby, except in the night, I fell uncomfortable because of a rock on my legs. I shifted, it was better.

This is in the morning I realized what happened. One of the freakiest moment of my life. During the night, the sleeping bag had slipped on the pine needdles and gently went down to almost the cliff edge. There was a big rock planted there by these bronze age people who blocked me from falling down 20 m behind. When I shifted, I just positionned myself more near the cliff edge and when I woke up, I was about 30 cm from the side.

The next day, a big part of this cliff collapsed in the sea...

EDIT : Another one but I won't really describe it. In 1991, I was to the New Yam Festival in Akabuka in Nigeria. It's a masquerade festival. During the day, masques that can be seen by women and children go out. During the night, these are the serious one, like Agaba for example. They are held by a rope, they carry machettes etc... It's not so funny. The head of ceremony allowed me to see them, we drunk some 'ogogoro' (distillated palm wine), share kola nuts, they painted me with white kaolin strips on the face and the arm ... Some masks were really powerful and they 'carried' the people. It was dark, masks were very frightful, some totally white, some painted in black. It was shouting, they were coming from nowhere. And you should not show fear when they rushed with the cutlass. It was creepy, these masks are touching something really deep inside human fears.

Two things, both related to me being sick.

The worst was fever hallucinations, lying in bed unable to sleep because at all times I could see dark figures looming over my bed or shadows moving around in the room, or something worse like the bed being full of disgusting bugs or ants crawling all over my body...I hope I never experience that again, that was some crazy [censored].

There was also a time when I was a lot younger when I was kind of sick, and then my legs started hurting like crap, eventually it stopped hurting but I couldn't walk...like at all, my legs just wouldn't move. I never figured out what it was, but my dad's theory (he's a doctor) is that it was just extreme growing pains, which makes sense as it's never happened to me before and I'm perfectly healthy right now.
Another wierd thing that used to happen to me is I think I used to randomly faint, but I could never be sure. I just sat there feeling like I'd been out for a few minutes.

That's happened to me two times when I had a very high fever. the only time I can remember was last time I was sick, I got out of bed rather quickly because I thought I had to throw up, got to the bathroom and then nothing happened, so I had some water, walked out and...that's all I remember, I woke up when my mom yelled my name as she found me unconscious on the other side of the room, I have no idea what happened before I blacked out, suddenly I was just on the other side of the room. Again, the main theory is that my bloodsugar has gotten to an extreme low in those cases, and I've put to much stress on my body and just passed out, whenever I feel like that I usually lie down with my legs high and wait, it's only happened when I've been sick, so I'm not really worried about it. The big advantage of having your father be a doctor and your mom a nurse is that I can usually get whatever I need if I'm sick.

When it happens my face is drained of all colour, I start breathing heavily and feeling like I'm about to throw up, then I'm just gone.

Second time this year that I hallucinated when I got out of bed quickly. I don't know the reason why.

A common technique to induce lucid dreaming is inducing sleep paralysis first to make yourself aware that you're dreaming, it's possible your brain just kept on dreaming for a bit after you got up very quickly. I'm by no means an expert on these things though, so take this with a grain of salt.

Three relatively creepy things have happened to me, two of them in this really old house we used to live in.

One night I was playing Kingdom Hearts in my bedroom when the television suddenly went static. I thought something must have screwed up the TV and went over to fix it, only to see it shut itself off halfway towards it. I started to wonder how the hell that could happen when I heard a faint breath-like sound from the hallway to my left (My room was connected to another room by a small hallway, and there were two doors on each side leading to a bathroom and a closet). I immediately went for the light and did my best to shrug it off, then went to bed soon after.

About a month after that happened, I was laying in bed one night, wide awake. I was just relaxing when I saw something dark shoot across the room from right to left. It was very faint and there was a window positioned at such a place that a passing bird or bat could have caused it, so I gave it no more thought than that. However, I then started hearing shuffling coming from that damnable hallway to the far left of my bed. It sounded close to the floor and I leaned up to see if it was a rat or something. I saw nothing, yet the shuffling sound was getting closer.

At that point, I was getting nervous, so I lay back down in bed and listened closely. The shuffling sounded almost like a baby crawling on the floor, which didn't do my imagination any favors. It stopped directly to the left of my bed and started going down and around it. It came over to the right side and stopped. Part of me was dreading that something was going to peak up at me from the side, but nothing ever did. The shuffling stopped and never came back for the rest of the days I lived there.

Now, the most recent creepy thing happened in our current house. You see, my sister, when she was still living here (She's married and out now), said that while she was downstairs listening to the radio, she would sometimes see a very pronounced humanoid shadow cross over a wall lit by the window across from it. I wondered if somebody was messing around in our back yard or something, so I tested it. However, no matter where I went in the back yard, the shadow was always too distorted to make out, and above all, too tall. So I tried at different times of the day with no success. I even stayed downstairs a couple days to see if it would happen again, but it never did.

So I just gave up on the idea and went back to my daily routine. Fast forward half a year later and I'm sitting upstairs in the computer early one night. Now, to help understand what happens here, you should know that the stairs are to the left of the bathroom and the computer room. They start in front of my upstairs bedroom (Which was located down the hall from the computer room) and go down to the living room. At the time, the bathroom was open and the light inside was on.

Anyway, while I was sitting at the computer, I randomly looked left as I felt a presence, like you do when somebody enters a room but doesn't make any noise. As soon as I did, a shadow, looking humanoid and male, crossed above the stairs (As if somebody had passed in front of the bathroom, which is only a couple yards away from me around a corner) and disappeared. I expected my dad to come around the corner, as I was listening to music at the time and figured I just didn't hear him coming up. But nobody came.

I got up and looked around upstairs, then went downstairs to see my dad asleep in the rocking chair with the news on.

I got out of bed one day about 10 months ago, walked down the hallway and feinted. I came to about 15 minutes later, face-down on the floor. I wasn't sick at the time, and nothing out of the ordinary had occurred in the previous hours to the best of my knowledge.

Not creepy, but very strange.

Some good creepy stories here :)

Actually, something weird happened to me just last week. I had a shower and afterwards I made a point of leaving the bathroom door wide open to dissipate some of the steam. The door has a perfect hang and will stay at whatever position you leave it in. I went and sat in the living room for a bit. I know it was open because I could hear the extractor fan clearly. Later on I walked past the bathroom and the door was shut. To shut the door you have to press down on the door handle, it won't just slam shut by itself. I have no idea how it could have happened

Also last year I found the bathroom door shut and it was locked from the inside. I had to use a knife to unlock the door using the slot on the outside. People said it mus have slammed shut somehow but A) I would have heard it and B ) just slamming shut would not have engaged the lock. Weird.

I hate these threads, cos sub-tonic always scares me [censored]less with his demon baby story. I heard a similar noise once, and leapt out of bed shouting "[censored] mouse!" and grabbed a coathanger and started stabbing violently at my bed. It was in the walls, but the way it sounds, like it was in my mattress. I poisoned that [censored] this week.

Another I adventure I had:

Was on vacation with my family during the summer and my sister and I decided to take a quick swim in the hotel pool. There was only one other person in there, an older guy, practicing his dives over in the deep end. So my sister walks in down the pool stairs and sits half way in the water, and I jump in and hang out around the shallow end to talk to her.

While I'm talking to her I had my back to the pool when suddenly someone grabbed my left ankle and yanked my foot backwards. I was thinking, ha-ha, the old guy snuck up on me underwater, and I immediately turned around to see who it was and there was nobody there. The old guy was still swimming around on the other side in the deep end.

I was holy sh** a ghost just grabbed my foot underwater!!!! So while my sister and I were talking about it, the old guy heard us and swam over. He then asked us if any of us had been over in the deep end swimming around. We said no, we've been over here by the steps the entire time. He then said that the last time he dove underwater something slammed into him, and he thought he had run into one us underwater.

So....we all left the pool after that.

Dammit, that creepypasta I read is making it hard to sleep..... I have one window in my room, and it's behind me, and all I can think about when I'm trying to sleep is "is there someone at the window?! :shakehead: "

This thread's getting creepier and creepier, especially the swimming pool and demon baby one.

When I was a kid I used to hallucinate a cloud of flying multicoloured dots going around my room, and it felt like my bed was spinning. I enjoyed it rather than it being creepy, but in retrospect it does sound pretty weird.
