Creepist thing that's ever happened to you.

I once had a dream that I was walking through the woods humming to myself and looking at my surroundings. Suddenly I had a sharp pain in my chest from an arrow that just hit me. I fell to the ground and heard voices yelling things like "I told you be careful with that!!" Several months later I moved from Los Angeles CA to a small town outside of Nashville TN. I was out walking in the woods and suddennly had that feelng of deja vu, I recognized the trees and realized that I was humming, I instantly rememberd my dream and dropped to the ground. A few seconds later I heard voices laughing and say "You idiot, you could shot me. I told you to be carfeul with that". I found 2 adolecent boys playing with a crossbow about 15ft off the trail I was on, and they had just accidently fired it at the path, right where I was walking.

I was on scene for a fatal crash last year where two cars had run pretty much head-first into each other. The dead driver was a woman (probably about 25-30 years old) and it took the fire department about 3-4 hours to extract her from the vehicle. The car was a Subaru station wagon and they had to go through the back hatch, break the driver seat and lean it all the way back, then take her out the back hatch. I was standing by the rear passenger window as they were doing this and when they had her laying down in the back her head turned towards me, like she was looking at me (because of gravity, not because of anything supernatural). It was night time by then and it startled me a bit because I wasn't expecting it. One of her eyes was missing and I kept waiting for her to blink but she never did. I wish people's eyes would automatically close when they died.

Some pretty creepy stories here. xD

I had a scary sleep experience not too long ago (scary for me anyway). I was in that state between being awake and fully asleep when I heard whispering voices calling my name, and they felt evil. I would make them go away by waking myself up and rolling over. This happened twice. The third time I heard them, I realized I had trouble opening my eyes, they'd just close again. So I tried to roll over, and it hit me that I couldn't move my body at all, and could no longer move my eyelids. I was so scared in that moment, having the evil whispering presence behind me and not being able to turn over to get rid of them. It only lasted a couple of seconds, but seemed forever. I assume this was sleep paralysis or something. I've had other weird sleep phenomena but never that, so it pretty freaky for me. XD

Not so creepy, but weird.. I was driving my dad home from the airport one night and was on a "dual carriageway" (or equivalent road here, two laned with barrier down the middle). I was in the slow lane, doing the limit, there was a guy in the fast lane a bit ahead who wasn't going faster than me, I remember wondering why he didn't pull in. Then he did suddenly without indicating, at first I thought nothing of it, as people do that sometimes. :P But then, I swear I saw a set of headlights zoom past on the fast lane, going in the opposite direction. I actually twisted my head around for a second and asked my dad if he saw the car, because it had surprised me. Turns out he hadn't seen the car. I was so certain it was in the lane right next to me, had heard the whoosh-sound as it passed by my window, had looked in the rearview and seen the tailights for a second before they disappeared. My dad said it was probably someone just on the other side of the barrier, but he had seemed so much closer..

Wouldn't be the first time something weird happened on that very same road.. once, also at night, driving home, I suddenly saw a light ahead of me, coming at me, in the slow lane. It seemed really close, I instinctively braked and (knowing there was no one behind me) swerved into the fast lane to avoid collision. Then I realized, the light wasn't there... it was meters away, a cyclist's front light, cycling on the little track next to the road. There's a grass verge between the road and the path too. I expect the bike had actually been 50, 100 metres away from me at the time I first saw it, and not right in front of me either :P

Both times I started questioning my depth perception and sanity. XD

Once at gettysburg I thought I saw an outline of a soldier I freaked out and ran away the next morning I found out it was a tree............
Once a can of soda I had just drank started to shake and I ran into my room and didn't come out ...maybe it was garbage disposal maybe not.
At times I was just scared of the dark I don't have crazy stories like you guys but I do scare the hell out of myself no problem .....anyhow thinking of http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/slender-man

Second time inducing lucid dreaming, I was at my dads. I got to sleep paralysis and then everything was normal but noise was subdued. Then a strange shadowy figure hovered/glided into the room, and just stood at the foot of my bed, just watching me, as if knowing I was aware of its presence. I then "awoke" and it was gone. Everything but the noise and figure were the exact same.

Just watching Faces of Death

Premonitions.

Nightmares: Two, the first. I was young and would literally have dreams about being chased by creepy things, like glowing green skulls and the like.

The second, perhaps getting chased by mannequins who didn't move when I watched them, but always closed in when I looked away, finally when a close ring surrounded me... they lunged.

Well, it was a couple of years before ME2 came out, and he didn't offer me any dossiers, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Illusive Man. X3
Yeah, those occurrences can be fun, when they're not out-and-out terrifying.
By the way, the face outside my window that one time? It was this f'ing thing.

There was another time when my boss (the one I work for in my dreams; not the one I have here) was in my room. Mind you, I was facedown in my pillow, so I couldn't actually see him- just hear him moving around and talking.
It was pretty neat.

Him: "So, this is your room?"

Me: "Mmhmm."

*sound of footsteps on the carpet, moving across to my dresser*

Him: "....Interesting." *laughter* "Nice ponies."

That's when it got sinister for me. :P

So, you have an alternate life in your sleep where you work for some guy? That's more elaborate than my dreams, the economy in them seems to consist of people hired to chase me.

Surely the glasses make him look more friendly? The original pic was more skull-like.

I can't remember what the original looked like. All I know is I'm never leaving my house again.

I'm desensitised to the slender man, its something I spend about three hours a day looking at on BGSF, its hard to be scared of your own avatar.

I was about eight and i had just gotten my tv. Natuarally I stayed up untill about 10 watching Tv. After flipping off the televison I had dozed off in about twenty mintutes. I woke hearing a very odd weezing sound. It took about 5 more seconds untill i heard this blood curdling wail which sounded like a howling dog and screaming women. Keep in mind I live in the Pine barrens and could have been the Jersey Devil. :cryvaultboy:

Just remembered another: my friend and I were camping at the far end of his pretty large garden, behind which is a massive field and a forest. He went inside to get a drink. Soon after he left, I heard these horrible screaming noises - apparently it was a fox but it scared the crap outta me.

Just remembered something eerie that happened outside at my old house. We used to have a pickup truck, so at night I would go out and lay in the bed of it, staring at the night sky, often with binoculars. Well, one night while I was scanning a partly cloudy sky, I saw something streak incredibly fast across it. Possibly a shooting star, but I didn't get a direct look at it. As soon as it went by, though, I heard a very disturbing noise, sort of like a distorted siren sound ripped straight out of a science fiction movie. It actually unnerved me enough to go back inside the house. I never heard it again after that.

Korsakovia utterly creeped the [censored] out of me, excuse my French. Once I had god-mode on the game was less creepy but the story as a whole was disturbing and compelling at the same time. To witness the poor guy getting svcked into his fantasy world. :cryvaultboy:

As for real life events, I can't really think of any to be totally honest. I've only had scary experiences really with too much creepypasta in a dark room.

Also doesn't help I have a fear of dark, unknown places. I.E. We're in a dark room, I'm staying the hell away from the bed or anyplace something horrific could be hiding. Also applies to bottomless stairs (I.E. they're just platforms with nothing below them, no backboards behind the stairs etc.)

(On a funny/pathetic note, the basemant stairs of this house have backboards to them quite simply because of me. They were like the ones I described before. ._.)

Metrophor told me all about it. Her dreams are so awesome it's insane.

Hence my asking about how one of the people in her dreams was doing.

Yeah, I'm kind of a repository of dream information for BGSF. It's my hobby.

I should send you my dream diary then, but a look into the abyss of my unconscious might drive you insane. Well, it might drive a normal person insane, but most of BGSF would probably consider it par for course. :P

My memory of my childhood is a bit corrupted so my hand finding itself stuck to a hook in some shaggy carpet which I was then suddenly svcked into the TV...so either another hallucination or [censored] up dream at that age.
The hook in my hand did happen though.

And another episode while I was visiting a few cousins in East Austin in which the odd creepy thing was that everything appeared to be going in slowmotion so I was either drugged or really tired I was around 8 at the time so I never really found out.
