Creepist thing that's ever happened to you.

What's the creepiest thing that's ever happened to you guys?

For me it has been a few times in my life that I have seen something before it happens. Perhaps of course its coincidence, but it was creepy none the less. . Now and then I will have a strong feeling of something and I visualize images of something happening. Thing is that after the event happens I have no feeling or thought of it again. Its only leading up to it, and its very recongizabule. its not like a passing thought, its more of an obsession with it.

A few times really stand out. times that I had shared with friends and fam beforehand. One time was the feeling that a simi tailer would tip over and crush me as I drove by. This was going on for about a week and got to the point that I avoided them on the freeway. I felt a bit nuts to be honest. Friday I was getting off the freeway ramp near my home. there was an accident at the base of the ramp. A simi tailer had taken the turn too fast and tipped over onto a minivan killing the family inside. The accident had just happened and a single police car was at the scene. I tried not to look as I went by but I could not help it.

Another time was when I kept seeing images of a white truck rolling over and over with lots of dust. I told my mom about it and she was worried but did not really say too much. What can you say really. A few days later we were heading to a cousins house in heavy traffic. Up on the right shoulder a white truck was going in and out of traffic. I had a really bad feeling and bam, the truck hit something on the side of the road that caused it to spin and start rolling over and over until it hit an overpass support. This time as we passed i did not look. I have had enough horrible things burned into my mind. My mom said it looked like they were still alive so thats a good thing.

Again perhaps all coincidence. This has happened many times in small ways over the last 20 years. I believe many animals do have senses about life, and how its all connects. In some way I feel we are all in tune to things that can not be explained yet by science.

This thread's getting creepier and creepier, especially the swimming pool and demon baby one.

When I was a kid I used to hallucinate a cloud of flying multicoloured dots going around my room, and it felt like my bed was spinning. I enjoyed it rather than it being creepy, but in retrospect it does sound pretty weird.

Actually, everyone experiences that. I used to do it too because it was just neat to me. It has something to do with your eyes focusing in the dark (I think, anyway). It can happen at one's own will, sort of like focusing on something in the background. I don't know what the dots are, though. Maybe our eyes can see dust in the dark at a certain focus level, though that level must distort color...or something? Hell if I know, I'm just coming up with random crap now.

Not me... in fact not heard of it.

I do see kinda of a shadow waves emanating from the outer area to center view now and then. from the time I was about 8. I think that has something to do with being tired.

You usually have to make it happen. Just lay in bed at night and stare at the ceiling, and while you're doing that, focus your eyes. Try not to blink and don't look away. If you do it right, you should start seeing swirling, multi-colored dots.

When I was a little kid, we were visiting a town in Florida. My granparents lived near there, we were on vacation. Anyway, we were checking out this cemetary full of graves from victims of yellow fever.
I was wandering around with my brothers and bumped into a little girl dressed in colonial type clothing. Since there were always historical re-enactments going on, I figured she was one of em. We got to talking, and she asked if I had seen her dolly, and I said no. It had gotten dark, so we went back. On the way home, my parents were reading the pamphlets aloud to us, apparently there is a ghost of a child that wanders the cemetary.
I still think she was a re-enactor.

Stare at a very bright light for a little bit, then close your eyes, you'll see something similar, a coloured but blurry blob moving away from your line of sight, open your eyes and it'll still be there.

I was visited every night by a female ghost for probably close to a year in an old house I lived in ( I knew the ghost was a female because I saw her all the time ). For some reason she would always try to sit me upright in bed while I was sleeping ( she would grab me around my shoulders and pull me up )....and a majority of the time if I was on my side, or sleeping on my stomach she would roll me right out of bed. I would wake up in the morning on the floor quite often. I remember waking up a few times while this was happening and as soon as I opened my eyes she would let go.

That's brilliant, most people get sixual succubi, but you got a fussy matron that tries to get you out of bed. "stop being lazy and sit up!"

My sister sleepwalks occasionally, apparently my mother was prone to it as well. One time she got up, came into my room, and asked me if she could have a sandwich at 2AM.

"Wh-what?"

"Can I have a sandwich!"

"what are you asking me for?"

"Oh PIG OFF!"
*stomps out and bounces in to the doorframe. I lie there, terribly confused*

My cousin, at the age of five, once sat up in his bed asleep and said "kiiiillll....". My aunt and uncle moved his sister from that room that night.

Shut your eyes and apply pressure. For about 30 seconds. Then open them really fast and look at something. You will see it.

I can only think of one time... it was actually many many weeks ago. But one night I was trying to sleep, and I opened my eyes, and on the other side of the room was a 7 foot tall dark figure, with yellow eyes, and it's face partially looked like an alien, luckily, I have a desk light attached to my bed, so after I stared at it for a second, I threw my arm at the light as fast as possible, turned it on, and nothing was there.....

My grandmother told me a story once when I was younger. She was a child in Jamaica and playing in her backyard when she saw a woman who smiled at her. She told the advlts, but they hadn't seen anyone. When she told them what the woman looked like, her description exactly matched that of my great-great grandmother.

As for me, I was upstate doing my internship and it was really late where we were staying. My bio teacher, my friend, and I heard screams, probably those of a turkey, coming from the forest. After a few minutes, the animal, whatever it was, cried one more time and fell silent. I thought something along the lines of, "I guess it's dinnertime."

You want to know something creepy- I have a tendency to hallucinate late at night.
Or, well, it's not really an hallucination, but... you know that feeling, when you're right on the edge of being awake and asleep? I see things when I'm at that point; when the veil is thin.
Usually it's relatively benign: I've had people sitting on the edge of my bed, for example; there was even one guy who -judging from the sound- had a Zippo in his hand and was trying to get it to light. I threatened to toss his smokes out the window if he lit one in my room. It worked- he grumbled "Fine, fine, go to sleep" and stopped. (lawl.)
Unfortunately, then there are the times when I open my eyes and see some really freaky crap- like seeing the upper half of a face peering at me from the edge of my bed, or hanging upside down just outside my window (a mouth should NOT have that many teeth), or the thing that was just a flailing mass of amorphous, grublike tendrils hovering about an inch over my head.
Oddly, while my first reaction -logically- is to shriek in surprise, it is almost inevitably followed up by an angry demand of who they are and what they HELL they're doing in my room. XD

I hate these threads, cos sub-tonic always scares me [censored]less with his demon baby story. I heard a similar noise once, and leapt out of bed shouting "[censored] mouse!" and grabbed a coathanger and started stabbing violently at my bed. It was in the walls, but the way it sounds, like it was in my mattress. I poisoned that [censored] this week.

Why should YOU be scared? You're the demon spawn of Yog-Sothoth.

Still, Sub_Tonic's stories are scary.

Anyone who's read/seen Trainspotting will know just why.

Think about it. If I'm so terrible, anything with the balls to creep me out must be even worse.

Maybe monsters are scared of us. Somewhere there's a creature writing on a forum saying "one day the door to my cupboard opened by itself and this ugly pink thing with huge eyes stared at me and made a high pitched screech, and then the place started to stink of piss..."

You HAD to remind me. :C

...And on the subject of mice, I had one hell of a start the other night. I got up to get a drink of water in the middle of the night, and my cat cornered me. She was sitting about three feet away- it was pitch black, so I couldn't see her, but I could hear her: she was mewing at me, insistently, almost nonstop. I couldn't figure out what she was trying to tell me, so I took a step forward to pet her- and a mouse shot straight up my leg and rebounded off my abdomen. Having totally not expected that, I commenced to scream like a little girl. XD
At least now I understand what she was saying. "Mouse, goddammit woman, MOUSE!"

Hrm. You know... why is it the only time something like that has happened to me is when bugs from Hell (literally; actually, from the abyss beneath Hell) popped up in my night stand? Also, I wonder who the smoking man was. That's just awesome.

Wait, no, I remember there was a couple of times a dude sat on the edge of my bed. Never said much.

EDIT: Oops. I should know better than to talk about trainspotting. I'm sorry.

Wonder why she didn't go for it. I tried to get my dog in to catch a mouse we'd found, but he couldn't move quick enough to see it. So we squashed it with a board. Accidentally. I was going to drown it.

I think she might have already caught it and was giving it to me as a present. Except humans have really crappy night vision, so I couldn't see it when she dropped it next to me.
Or maybe she just thought I wanted to catch it instead.

I remember one time I was going to the bathroom and a mouse bumped into my foot and ran off. Another time, I was walking down to Atlantic with my family when something bumped into my foot. I looked down and saw that a huge rat had ran over my sandaled feet. It felt like a coarse brush.

Well, it was a couple of years before ME2 came out, and he didn't offer me any dossiers, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Illusive Man. X3
Yeah, those occurrences can be fun, when they're not out-and-out terrifying.
By the way, the face outside my window that one time? It was this f'ing thing.

There was another time when my boss (the one I work for in my dreams; not the one I have here) was in my room. Mind you, I was facedown in my pillow, so I couldn't actually see him- just hear him moving around and talking.
It was pretty neat.

Him: "So, this is your room?"

Me: "Mmhmm."

*sound of footsteps on the carpet, moving across to my dresser*

Him: "....Interesting." *laughter* "Nice ponies."

Mind you, the 'interesting' was said very sarcastically; I was tempted to make a rude gesture in his direction, but he is the man who writes my checks. And he was laughing at my http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo281/Metrophor/commieponies.jpg, which sit on my dresser- honestly I can't blame his amusemant.
Anyway, I heard him shuffling through some of my photographs; judging from the footsteps he was making a full circuit of my room. I think he actually opened my door and poked his head into the hallway at one point.
Then he came back around to my bed and I felt his hand on my shoulder.

Him: "Meet me in my office when you make the jump. I have a few assignments for you to look over."

Me: "Mm'kay."

Honestly, these hallucinations are vivid enough I have to wonder- was I even hallucinating at all? Or are these people (entities?), somehow, really there?

Wow... That is just epic. Straight up. "Meet me at my office when you make the jump." Come on, that's definitely the best way to describe going into a dream. An internally consistent dream city, no less.

Also: What "f'ing thing?" There was no link.

One time, I woke up in the middle of the night. From my bed, I could see a dark figure crouching under my desk across the room. I was stunned for a second, and didn't know what to do. I decided to burst suddenly out of bed, and dash out the door. I was admittedly about 12. I slept elsewhere in the house until the morning. When I returned in the morning there was nothing there. However, on that occasion I think my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Another time I moved my bed so it was facing the door. I can't remember why I wanted to move it there. Every single night sleeping in that bed, I had recurring dreams and "visions" of figures standing in the frame of the door. I had to move it back to where it was before.
