you mean features such as a crappy UI, the fact that it is designed for 5/6 year old consoles, buggy mod support, and needing a monster gaming rig to fully enjoy the graphics?

A friend of mine told me this morning that the NBA halftime show had a trailer for Dawnguard and blackops 2. I'll go google it. I'm posting on my phone so I haven't had a good chance to do so.

I have only seen the black ops 2 trailer. Dont think there is a trailer for dawnguard x) we only got on picture dude.

can we have 2 dawnguard threads, one for discussion and the other for non xbox users to whine about waiting a month?

pc gets no pity from me, its got the CK and a ton of better features then xbox so theres nothing to moan about

We would also like to play the DLC. Give me the DLC over mods and CK any day. Including the high res texture pack. Kind of annoying that we have to wait 30 days. They should offer it at a higher price to PC and PS3 users. If its a $40 DLC, then charge us $80 if we want it on day 1, which covers the Xbox live yearly fee.

Had an idea for new dlc, based around the 'great collapse' which is rather mysterious and unexplained.

So at the end of the main quest, you have the option to sell your elder scroll to the college librarian, this dlc could be started when that's been done. Maybe something/someone is attacking winterhold or areas of skyrim that is linked to the great collapse.

So you travel back in time using the elder scroll and experience what actually happened, who was to blame and how to defeat this new enemy in skyrim. I'm thinking this could be linked to one of the daedric lords, maybe a weapon was lost in the great collapse that can be found by traveling back in time..

What do people think?

actually theres more then 1 quest that lets you travel back in time...i wont post spoilers but one of the quests you're not just an observer, you actually play a part in the past.

This is why im sticking to my dlc idea...i want to slay snow elves alongside ysgramor with my present wuuthrad, creating some sort of wuuthrad time paradox

I will say this once more, you don't have to travel through time to get to the Dawn Era, at least as far as the Nords are concerned. It's not the start of a world, it's the end of the last (and by association, the end of this) one. The Nords would like to guard against the dawn, keeping the world as it is, and themselves alive. The Thalmor would like to guard against the dawn by breaking the wheel and preventing any possibility of new Kalpas.

Spears would be cool (assuming they're not glitched like pretty much everything else)
Also a new area would be nice with new armor sets and weapons.

Being able to turn into a flying vampire lord like the one on the gamejam vid would be awesome but i'd rather have a lycanthropy perk tree if we had to choose.
Oh i also hope they fix alot of the glitches/Bugs in the game with the DLC as i'm playing on PS3 and sometimes it becomes unplayable.

It doesn't matter what anyone says about X360 getting the DLC first because there's nothing you can do to stop stuff like that happening, Console manufacturer's have been paying game developers to make exclusive content for years. If you don't want to have a little patience and wait an extra 4 weeks for DLC then go buy an Xbox, if you dont want to buy an xbox sit down n shut the hell up.

Simples.

But the talk of time travel, elder scrolls and the talk already of the origin of the Falmer.

Getting serious, Crossbows defenetly notice the arrows in the back of the dohvakiin pic. Notice that in right its dark and left its bright. Something with morrowind , morrowind is east of skyrim. Defending morrowind from some occult cult like The 6 House or something even creepier. Dohvakiins eyes: i think it has something do with the vampres valkhair (or idk how they are called Volkihar Clan )

The new Vampire feeding animations and the addition of Crossbows suggest that we will be hunting Vampires however I must admit I am not quite sure what to make of the Snow Elf entries.

My guess would be that the Dawnguard are a faction of Vampire Hunters that the player will be able to join when the DLC is released and the DLC will focus on hunting vampires, suggesting anything beyond that would require a stretch of the imagination.

Personally I am hoping for something akin to the old gothic horror dracula stories with an isolated village tormented by the minions of darkness and the player being tasked with finding the secret behind the Snow Prince's curse.

ha no but if so i call dibs on ysgramor himself

im talking about some sort of special dovakin/elder scroll scenario where the dovakin is called back in time to aid ysgramor at the DAWN of skyrim to GUARD against the snow elves...by guard i mean go to solstheim to stop the snow prince from coming to skyrim and dominating the land. Maybe you weaken him so the little girl can finish him off (keeping with lore)
