While powerful it may be I must admit the picture of an Elf throwing snowballs doesnt exactly fill me with dread.

This has probably been mentioned but what if the Thalmor are exploiting time disruptions to travel back in time to help the Snow Elves beat the humans from Atmora, thus wiping man from history. Maybe the Dragonborn goes back to and helps the 500 Companions. Just a thought.

I don't know... what the ancient Nord did to the Falmer could be considered genocide. They killed them by the thousands, and making us help the 500 companions, would be like saying that what they did was somehow ok.

Where do you get that idea??? I have seen no mention of people wanting vampires that sparkle.
i want sparkly v- uh, not good time...
it would be fun if vamps were able to sprint really fast, as most vampire stories have superspeed vamps.

not sure how they would do that, but I think they should make vampires in Skyrim faster moving, and when they sprint they should be about the speed of a werewolf.

While I must admit you have quite an unique take on what the name could mean I do find it quite a stretch to believe that the DLC involves traveling back in time to help Ysgramor wipe out the snow elves, also an even bigger stretch to believe that the DLC could involve the Thalmor trying to return the world to be like it was during the Dawn era, unless of course you have new information that I am unaware of?
I have spies in beth on the dev team leaking me info :P

Even though time travel dlc is a stretch, it.doesnt stretch too far when the elements are already in game.

The only other way to have the snow prince would be some sort of resurrect spell like the wolf queen but then we should be able to summon ysgramor from sovngarde to help fight his old foe...i wana swing wuuthrads with ysgramor dammit :P

It was a joke. The amount of people posting here that it must be(!) a vampire DLC is terrifying.

First everyone tought it will be about the Snow Prince. Than after the title was confirmed, a lot of people claimed that because the Dragonborn has glowing eyes he must be a vampire, thus DLC is about them. Now it's going into the direction that the Snow Prince might be a vampire....

What's next? Dovampire and The Snow Prince of Twilight saving the word?!

What's next? Dovampire and The Snow Prince of Twilight, saving the word?!

It all fits though. The Falmer chose to live underground, because they sparkle in the sunlight and people were asking uncomfortable questions. That they are blind is also because of the sparkling - the fluorescent fungi caused them to sparkle and the special effects were so bright that it blinded them permanently.

It's just I would rather the DLC be based on something as absurd as the Snow Prince being a vampire, than a DLC based around dragons they were the main focus of the vanilla game so no thank you. I liked Korbu's idea in the last thread that would make for an awesome DLC.

Maybe Beth's idea was to see how much their community could speculate off of one picture?

I seriously doubt this DLC/Expansion will revolve around dragons. Not because I hate them and find them extremely boring, but because of the fact that many players didn't go Dovahkiin. Believe it or not, but some people didn't play the main quest because they didn't want to go dragonborn. If this quest has anything to do with Dragonborn and his dragon dillemma, then it would completly ruin the experience for everyone and their own characters. It's why the Shivering Isles was seperated from the Main Quest or why Knights of the Nine was also seperated. Yes, they involved Daedra, but the story was completely different and it didn't require the player to be the Champion of Cyrodiil.

Exactly, and this is why Bethesda pissed me off with the Civil War quest because you have to start the main quest to continue in the Civil War, I mean what the [censored] hell was Bethesda thinking when they did that?!! Really? That made no sense, so hopefully they make the DLC separate from the main quest, which means NO dragons.

As an Xbox user, i think it was an awful idea for Bethesda to make a deal with Microsoft for Skyrim. TBH

Finally someone gets it. The Thalmor want to end the world to return to the Dawn, which means the death of all non-mer. The player character doesn't want this, so you fight against it. Or you do want it and you fight with them.

Whyssat?

The way the game was designed. They would've had a lot more room to do different things and add more if it was originally designed for the PC, instead of porting it to the PC later.
