It may only be 'timed exclusive' for the XBox, but that is a horrendous idea and business practice and should not be done.

But I still look forward to the Snow Elves and Crossbows.

No. Withholding content from the main game and then releasing it as "day one DLC" is horrendous. You may not like this but it's just business, and it is way better than the alternative.

This is just as bad. This is brokering a deal to treat a large portion of your audience as inferior. Not to mention, not all 'Day 1 DLC' is withheld content from the game when it went into distribution.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of timed exclusives. For us PC and PS3 players, we may not even get the DLC until August or September.

Correct - There's an odd misconception of how 'Day 1 DLC' is handled - and most people have got it wrong. Paranoid, greedy bunch.

However the actual business practice of exclusivity per console is less of a deal for Microsoft now; especially since they've seen that multi-console games sell better/more on the Xbox anyway. - Being a business, playing it safe is the next step. Securing DLC is one way to do so. It's a minor effect that may appear to annoy a lot of people. However more people are enticed by it than not. - They may or may not want for other users to feel inferior. Seeing the way Xbox LIVE is handled, I wouldn't be surprised.

However on PC, we all know it looks better, works better and for things like me~ Is infinitely more attractive because I can modify it - I am stuck on le box though, at least until Ivy has been tested, thoroughly.

EDIT: OT - Yes Crossbows~ I do hope you get glowing eyes though! >_O; I'd be offended if I didn't.

Ive been reading a large collection of forums lately and here's a list of stuff that fans would like to see in skyrim dlc including my previous list that I posted last thread. Enjoy!!

- New and better assassins armor. It was kind of disappointing to find out that the ancient brotherhood armor was the exact same look as the shrouded version. (top priority)
- Have a "become a flying vampire lord" power or a werewolf lord. This could be an ability that could be unlocked for vampires as they quest through the dlc I think it would add more fun to the game.
- Edit the crime punishment like maybe have a death warrant for killing the emperor and if so you need to have a disguise to avoid attention in the city.
- Bring in vampire and werewolf perks. Like in solstheim when hircine would give you small traits for your werewolf form. I think this would add more depth to your lycanthropy assuming your committed to it.
- Bring back hardcoe mode and have eating animations. Alot of fans want this I know it so bring it to skyrim. I hardly ever eat any food or sleep in a bed so this is as good as reason as any to put it in.
- Skyrim mod and map builder for 360 ( even though I know its not going to happen lol )
- I'd like to know more about the dwemer
- Need a vampiric guild that you can join. I've always wanted my vampire to rule over a vampiric clan, capture people on the road and drain them dry so I think this would be fun to add.
- Add more continuating guild quests like the random quests you get when you finish a guild questline I'd like to see more of that.
- have little elven/beast children running around. I see "normal" children but I've never seen a khajiit cub or a little dunmer boy.
- A very long and very challenging dungeon (like the mehrunes razor dungeon from oblivion that was fun and I miss it!!)
- Be able to wear and enchant the queen barenziah helmet
- Join the Thalmor and conquer skyrim. Seriously I love the thalmor and their background. They can rule or exterminate men for all I care so long as my khajiit lives in aldmerian luxury Im happy.
- More enchantment effects like weapons on fire like literal fire or be able to turn your enchanted weapon into ice. This should be optional and just for customization purposes only.
- Have hand to hand skill perk tree. I like execution moves but my favorite are hand to hand executions cause they feel so brutal and its something I'd like to dig deeper into.
- Have people hate you for being a bad guy or love you for being a good guy. There should be rumors going around about how bad you are or good you are and people should react as such.
- Conquer something in the dlc like expand the empire or stormcloak territory
- Own a keep, castle, or stronghold instead of a house. Im sick of houses I miss getting my personal stronghold like in morrowind where its this whole process of money and dealing with annoying bandits that threaten it.
- Another "blackreach" because blackreach was by far the most lovely and beautiful dungeon I have ever explored and would love to venture into another "blackreach".
- Add claw weapons like very long finger nail claws that rip through armor or something like wolverine style claws.
- Make sure to bring in crossbows
- Have an evil ending or good ending to every quest in dlc.
- Get a wizards tower, thieves den, or assassins hideout
- Catch thieves breaking into your house and kill them
- Super-fast dagger duel-wielding attacks ( the power attacks currently are way too slow which doesnt make sense considering their daggers)
- Change the vampires up, make it to where the hungrier you get the weaker you become
- Add grenades for alchemy (what I mean by this is to be able to throw aoe poisons or potions like from dragon age) and put in smoke bombs too to disorient those annoying archers
- Ability to set traps aside from runes
- More sneak kill animations like stabbing the back of their head with my dagger
- Bring back the daedric ruins from morrowind. They were so much fun and would love to see them in greater detail in skyrim.
- Join a new guild
- Bring back ALL the artifacts from previous games along with making up some new ones (assassin artifacts yo!!)
- Werebears sound pretty cool even though I might not play one. I love my vampiric assassin too much
- When you have a bounty on your head you should be having to deal with bounty hunters. Im an assassin and I should feel like the most wanted man in tamriel.
- Bring in marriage mates for my Khajiit assassin
- Bring in new spells or edit the current ones like for example when your conjuration is at 100 you can summon multiple low level creatures and this number decreases the more powerful the creature
- Encounter werewolves in the wilderness (idk if you really can but I have never gotten ambushed by a werewolf before)
- Turn your wife into a vampire (or turn anyone into a vampire would be cooler!)
- Bring in a Co-op! It doesnt have to make sense to the story I mean its just fun in such an expansive world to tackle a dungeon with your best friend and his character.
- bring in a dlc multiplayer
- Bring in the polearms, pikes and spears
- Bring back the daedroth, summon ghosts, and the Xivilai. If not atleast bring in the daedroth!
- Be able to edit the layer of your armor like add spikes and sprint into enemies
- Bring in body tattoos or tattoo stylists
- Be able to fly or have flying mounts like dragon mounts.
- Have cool objects fly around your character like flying skulls or maybe little red marbles for decorative purposes
- Have encounters where you tackle many low level enemies for higher level characters. Im a very powerful assassin and he pretty much owns everything in-game and would love a more threatening challenge.
- bring environment effects like burn down trees, make huge craters in the ground with fireballs, or freeze water with ice
- bring in new spells

Hope you enjoyed reading these!!

More annoyingly I have just found out the dlc will be a behind closed doors presentation at e3 just like Skyrim was last year. Nice way to treat the fans that pay for you to be able to make the games Bethesda. Locking out your fans for a few corporate suits that have special invites

No flamatory comments in this forum, your list is very biased you're obviously an xbox user, ergo your list is bull and the fact you think we are going to spend our valuable time reading that crap is astonishing, be abit more polite and people may want to read that long list of things already suggested

I do apologize if I offended more than one person with my flamatory comment but I was only referring to one person. I know no one who makes a list of stuff they would like to see in skyrim and then someone refers to everyone not to read it wouldnt take offense to that. I promise to everyone its not bull and it will not waste your time at all so read it!! :)

I have said this a load of times, but it keeps coming up, so here we go again : what if, what if the deal for timed exclusivity wasn't for cash? What if the deal was timed exclusives, find a way to stick Kinect in there, and you get an early look at Nextbox architecture?

Sauce?

Because last I heard (on these Forums) we're going to hear a release date and much more info on Dawnguard at E3. I personally think that they're going to give us at least the story line to the expansion if not more at E3.

After the fiasco before Skyrim`s release where there was too much leaked information,I can`t really blame Bethesda for being over cautious with Dawnguard. They will definately outline the main story, plus possibly wet our appetites with one or two hints at the content, but they certainly won`t reveal everything

Get used to it, Bethesda always does stuff like this. It will probably be leaked shortly afterwards anyway, so we'll get to see it.

When do people think this DLC is going to be released? First, so that means 360 as that is when it well be finished.

I know the longer they take the better, less bugs and maybe more content. However if it takes a month for it to get to 360, us PC players well not get it for ages.

Something I find a bit funny is the amount off speculation on a picture and a name :D

Personally I have some hopes for Dawnguard as it have already been 6 months since the game launched and we likely wont see it before E3. I think they should be able to create a pretty decent sized DLC in that time.

I bought an Xbox 360 at launch. Plenty of processing power (back in 2005) and some good exclusives convinced me to buy it. I used it for two good years and even bough more than a dozen of games for it, until I grew tired with Microsoft commercial policy.

Not only Xbox games costed here regularly 10€ more, but day one DLCs became more and more common. I'm not going to buy any other console from them or any company which pushes publishers towards such milking policies. It's my polite way of giving the middle finger to all those greedy beancounters!

One month to wait? Whatever... Bethesda will see my money only when they'll bring it over to PC space and Microsoft will get none at all. It's fine

Personally, I just want a release date. I don't need info on the dlc that raises more questions than it answers. I'll know what it is about once it becomes available, and only then will I be able to decide if it's worth buying or not. There is only a handful of very specific things I'd like to see, that would convince me in advance, and they aren't going to go into that much detail. So even if they present the dlc behind closed doors at E3, it doesn't really make a difference to me.

If they maintain their promises it will be "something like point lookout" -at least in "size" -so we can be even moderately positives for once

I think it is likely that we will begin seeing information a week or two after E3 (June 5th). It is most likely that certain magazines or online websites have managed to received a release right to first information on it. It is possible though that some information might get leaked earlier but Bethesda is pretty good at keeping info contained. I think we will see more information by the end of June and get a release date of August for 360 users and a release of September for PS3/PC users.

I remember reading a while back that a number of people believe that there is no substantial information that we have received to hint towards the DLC. The following link http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dawnguard would prove that incorrect. The people talking about the snow prince and crossbows have evidence to back it up while at the very least an appearance of vampires also exists based on the 1.5 patch on steam.

I remember reading a while back that a number of people believe that there is no substantial information that we have received to hint towards the DLC.

I guess that's simply a matter of opinion and depends on what people consider substantial information.

What we have are feeding animations for vampires, crossbows, a Snow Elf Prince and something that looks like animations for a new follower.
Now, feeding animations are basically kill cams. We recently got kill cams for mages and archers as well, so the existance of feeding animations alone doesn't really tell us anything.
Same goes for crossbows, we will get a new weapon, but that could be because people were asking for it, and crossbows aren't necessarily story related.
The Snow Elf Prince is probably the only animation that (in my opinion) could be considered a hint, since we can't become a snow elf and can't use him as a weapon...I guess...unless he's a really short little guy and we can throw him at our enemies.
The follower could be story related as well of course, but we don't know enough to be sure. It could just as well be a random new follower.
