Dawnguard Beta Discussion - Thread #5

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 9:07 am

From what the good people at Bethesda have been saying a number of the beta testers should have been chosen by now. So to the Beta testers if there are any yet: 1. Is Vampire lord useful at level 50 and above 2. Can you get the vampire lord ability if you're a werewolf 3. How long is the game 4. How much tougher are the legendary dragons than the aincent ones 5. Whats the deal with the new mount 6. Are the rumors about there being capes true
If you applied for the beta and read the terms and conditions, Which I did- And you should have to, you checked the box saying you read everything, especially section 4, If you got in you arent allowed to speak about the DLC at all with anyone except on the dawnguard beta tester forums, which arent up yet. So unless you want to break contract, which you didn't accept anyways seeing you didn't read it...You arent allowed to say ANYTHING until June 26 when the game comes out.

Ummm... the beta testers probably wouldn't be able to answer questions publically like this without violating an NDA.

I'm pretty sure the beta doesn't start until at least Tuesday of next week, or the week after. Right now they need to determine who's going to gain access and who isn't, and no, I am not participating in the beta as I am on PC for Skyrim. :sadvaultboy:

I think in the E3 gametrailers interview, near the end, Todd said the codes would be issued next week (but don't quote me on that)

I don't believe anyone has been chosen yet. Also, the beta is under an non-disclosure agreement, is it not? You won't be getting info, legally anyway.

Yea, I think it'll be at least after E3 has finished before codes go out.

Even if I did get it I wouldn't say a word.... Not until at least the 26th and quoting Todd "If all goes well with the beta testing"

Unless I am mistaken, there have been over 5,000 new members in the last few days. I imagine that they will very selective. From Todd's reaction in that interview, I'd imagine they are very close to that limited selection.

When asked about chances of new registrations getting in on the Beta. Todd's eyes said "Pffft...yea, right..."

If that's true, it's a lot earlier than i expected. Especially since the beta test hasn't even started yet. Though Bethesda's "testing" has always been done with sarcasm quotes :P

I am just curious how many people they will be selecting. It still would be cool to say that you tested for an elderscrolls game.

Yeah i was also curious about that but most definitely! It'd be awesome just to be able to say that!

Does anyone know about the skill trees...? Are they gonna get larger or are they just going to add new ones?

Crossbows are going to use the archery skill tree. The only new skill trees that I know are going to be added will be the werewolf and vampire lord ones, other then that I don't know. If I am wrong I am sure someone here will correct me.
