Dawnguard Beta Discussion - Thread #5

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 5:48 am

i have a question to anyone that can help me, i signed up for the beta on June 1st and filled out all my infomation about my characters and i recently started playing on one of my saves again and went from 45 to 50. is there anyway i can change my infomation? as i know if you submit 2, Bethesda completely ignore you and i dont want to ruin my chances . any help?
cant change info relax it wont matter and I'm sure they expect people to level up.

If you applied for the beta and read the terms and conditions, Which I did- And you should have to, you checked the box saying you read everything, especially section 4, If you got in you arent allowed to speak about the DLC at all with anyone except on the dawnguard beta tester forums, which arent up yet. So unless you want to break contract, which you didn't accept anyways seeing you didn't read it...You arent allowed to say ANYTHING until June 26 when the game comes out.

Correct not a peep people.

i am relaxed, i mean even if i dont get chosen i will still buy it on release. i just thought after reading through this forum , i wondered maybe if bethesda did care about how level 50's do with powers such as vampires etc; anyways no matter.... SKYRIM DAWNGUARD!!

I just hope the ones that do get chosen, report bugs to Bethesda. That's the whole point of this and I feel some people wouldn't report a single bug.

My guess is they watch the forums and see what people say so that if they just doing it to get the dlc for free they wont pick them.

I sure hope so, beta testing shouldn't be done just to get something for free, it should be done so Beth can have people working to see what's not right.

I hope this is the case...

I've lived the Elder Scrolls since Daggerfall (like many people have), and I really want the opportunity to show that love by helping to make the game better for everyone.

I highly encourage people to look through the forum before mentioning the beta to avoid posting something that many others have already posted.

I apologize for insulting you. You probably misunderstood my intentions anyway- the post wasn't directed at YOU, it was general advice. I never said anything about you not being welcome, and I would have no right to say that, being new myself.

Of course, you are very welcome in the forum.

I closed your previous thread because we are using this thread for all discussion of the Dawnguard beta, otherwise we would have dozens of threads about the same thing.

As for your question, if you are concerned about being disqualified from the beta because you didn't have a forum account at the time you signed up, you can simply sign up again using the same email address.

I have a question for the mods. Are all of yall in the beta? They have to have someone to control the beta forums and you all get a free copy of every game they make right?

Good luck to everyone that makes it into the beta

The moderators have no connection to Bethesda. They just provide help on the massive forums (right?)

I don't know how close the mods are to Bethesda, but they are not QA testers.

The first rule of Dawnguard Beta Fight Club is you never talk about Dawnguard Beta Fight Club

We do receive copies of the games, but I can tell you that you will most likely be wreaking havoc as a flying vampire lord or crossbow wielding Van Helsing long before me, as I don't own an Xbox.

So I don't know if this is off topic but I went backwards and signed up with the BETA first, not reading the part about the forum sign up, should I re-sign up, or will it still be valid?

I seriously have to start reading everything before I do anything -.-

I don't know whether there is any problem with signing up for the beta first, but I'd recommend applying again for the beta using the same email address, to be on the safe side.

From the website "IF YOU SIGN-UP AGAIN WITH THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS, WE WILL DELETE YOUR PREVIOUS ENTRY AND REPLACE IT WITH THE NEW ONE."

I think it'll be fine, when they're sorting through applications they'll check the email address you provided, if you joined on the same day I'd imagine it would be fine. At least I hope so cause it's also what I did.

I'd love to Beta test! I'm already signed up like many of you. I find Beta testing a new DLC to Skyrim fun for the reason that Skyrim is my top favorite game of all time and because I don't need to be serious about just looking for bugs... I can play and have fun and just report bugs as I see them. :D
